Claims (15)
- 종이 섬유 및 플라스틱의 공급원을 포함하는 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하는 방법으로서: (a) 수분의 존재 하에 펄프제조기에서 혼합 폐기물을 교반하여 종이 섬유 부와 플라스틱 부를 포함하는 슬러리를 형성하는 단계; (b) 상기 펄프제조기의 슬러리로부터 수분, 플라스틱, 및 상당량의 종이 섬유 부를 추출하여 액체 흐름을 형성하는 단계; (c) 상기 액체 흐름을 거친 스크린(coarse screen) 및 슬롯 스크린(slotted screen)을 통하여 순차적으로 통과시킴으로써 상기 액체 흐름으로 부터 플라스틱을 제거하여 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름을 생성하는 단계; 및 (d) 상기 섬유가 농축된 흐름으로부터 경량의 이물질을 거의 제거함으로써 수분을 함유한 종이 섬유를 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(c)에서, 상기 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름을 우선 제1 원심분리기에서 처리하여 상기 흐름으로부터 중량의 이물질을 분리한 후, 제2 원심분리기에서 처리하여 상기 흐름으로부터 경량의 이물질을 분리하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름으로부터 잉크 입자를 분리하기 위하여 상기 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름을 부유 탱크로 통과시키는 추가적인 단계를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하는 방법.
- 종이 섬유, 플라스틱 및 금속의 공급원을 포함하는 혼합 폐기물에서 종이 섬유로부터 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분리하는 방법으로서, (a) 수분의 존재 하에 펄프제조기에서 혼합 폐기물을 교반하여 종이 섬유 부와 플라스틱 및 금속 부를 포함하는 슬러리를 형성하는 단계; (b) 상기 슬러리로부터 수분, 플라스틱, 금속, 및 상당량의 종이 섬유 부를 추출하여 펄프제조기로부터 배출된 액체 흐름을 형성하는 단계; (c) 상기 액체 흐름으로부터 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 제거하는 단계; (d) 상기 제거된 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분쇄기로 이송하는 단계; (e) 상기 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분쇄기에서 분쇄하는 단계; (f) 상기 분쇄 단계 후에 금속 성분으로부터 플라스틱 성분을 분리하는 단계; (g) 상기 분리 단계에서 분리된 플라스틱 성분을 건조시키는 단계; (h) 상기 건조된 플라스틱 성분을 압출기로 공급하는 단계; 및 (i) 상기 플라스틱 성분을 압출하는 단계를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물에서 종이 섬유로부터 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분리하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 분리 단계가, 상기 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 침전 탱크로 공급함으로써 더욱 농밀한 성분은 침전시키고 플라스틱 성분은 물의 흐름과 함께 제거되도록 하는 것을 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물에서 종이 섬유로부터 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분리하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 플라스틱 성분을 상기 압출기로 공급하기 전에 상기 건조된 플라스틱 성분을 분쇄하는 단계를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물에서 종이 섬유로부터 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분리하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1 분리기와 제2 분리기 사이에서 10 내지 30psi의 압력차를 유지시킴으로써 상기 제1 분리기로부터 제2 분리기로 유체가 유동할 수 있도록 하는 것을 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 슬롯 스크린의 슬롯 폭이 0.004 내지 0.010인치 범위이며, 상기 슬롯 스크린을 통과한 섬유가 농축된 흐름이 99% 이상의 수분을 함유하는, 혼합폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하는 방법.
- 종이 섬유의 공급원을 하나 이상 포함하는 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치로서: (a) 종이 섬유 부와 비 종이 섬유의 고형 부를 포함하는 슬러리를 형성하기 위하여 수분의 존재 하에 혼합 폐기물을 교반하기 위한 체임버: (b) 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름을 형성하기 위하여 상기 슬러리로부터 상당량의 종이 섬유 부를 분리하기 위한 추출기; (c) 상기 추출기로부터 펄프 배출구로 상기 흐름을 인도하기 위한 도관; (d) 상기 흐름 중의 플라스틱 및 금속 성분으로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위하여 상기 배출구와 상기 추출기 사이에 배치된 스크린들; (e) 상기 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름으로부터 중량의 이물질을 제거하기 위하여 상기 배출구와 스크린들 사이에 배치된 제1 원심분리기; 및 (f) 수분을 함유한 종이 섬유 펄프를 얻기 위하여 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름으로부터 경량의 이물질을 제거하도록 상기 제1 원심분리기와 상기 배출구 사이에 배치된 제2 원심분리기를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
- 종이 섬유의 공급원을 하나 이상 포함하는 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치로서: (a) 종이 섬유 부와 비 종이 섬유의 고형 부를 포함하는 슬러리를 형성하기 위하여 수분의 존재 하에 혼합 폐기물을 교반하기 위한 체임버; (b) 종이 섬유가 농축된 흐름을 형성하기 위하여 상기 슬러리로부터 상당량의 종이 섬유 부를 분리하기 위한 추출기; (c) 상기 추출기로부터 펄프 배출구로 상기 흐름을 인도하기 위한 도관; (d) 상기 흐름 중의 플라스틱 및 금속 성분으로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위하여 상기 배출구와 상기 추출기 사이에 배치된 스크린들: (e) 상기 스크린들로부터의 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 플라스틱 배출구로 이송하기 위한 이송기; (f) 상기 성분들을 분쇄하기 위한 분쇄기[이때, 상기 이송기가 상기 성분들을 분쇄기로 이송하며, 상기 분쇄기는 상기 스크린 및 상기 플라스틱 배출구 사이에 위치됨]; 및 (g) 플라스틱 압출기[이때, 상기 이송기가 상기 성분들을 상기 분쇄기로부터 상기 압출기로 이송하며, 상기 압출기는 상기 분쇄기 및 상기 플라스틱 배출구 사이에 위치됨]를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
- 제9항에 있어서, 잉크 입자를 제거하기 위하여 상기 섬유가 농축된 흐름 내로 공기를 도입하기 위한 수단을 포함하며, 상기 제2 원심분리기 및 상기 배출구 사이에 위치하는 부유 탱크를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물르부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
- 제9항에 있어서, 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 상기 스크린들로부터 압출기로 이송하기 위한 이송기를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 분쇄기 및 상기 압출기 사이에 위치하는, 침전에 의하여 중량의 이물질을 제거하기 위한 침전 탱크를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 탱크 및 상기 압출기 사이에 위치하는, 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 분쇄하기 위한 분쇄기를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 탱크 및 상기 압출기 사이에 위치하는, 플라스틱 및 금속 성분을 건조하기 위한 건조기를 포함하는, 혼합 폐기물로부터 종이 섬유를 분리하기 위한 장치.
