Claims (3)
- 냉각팬의 회전속도를 제어하는 컴퓨터 시스템에 있어서, 정상 모드 또는 파워 세이빙 모드중 하나로 상기 컴퓨터 시스템이 동작하도록 제어하는 전원관리 제어부와; 상기 컴퓨터 시스템이 정상 모드 또는 파워 세이빙 모드인지를 감지하여, 제1팬 구동신호 또는 제2팬 구동신호를 출력하는 신호 생성부; 상기 제1팬 구동신호에 따라 상기 냉각팬이 제1비율로 계속적으로 회전하도록 제어하고, 상기 제2팬 구동신호에 따라 상기 냉각팬이 제1비율보다 느린 제2비율로 계속적으로 회전하도록 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 마이크로 프로세서칩의 냉각팬 제어장치.
- 정상 모드와 파워 세이빙 모드중 하나로 동작하는 컴퓨터 시스템의 냉각팬의 회전속도를 제어하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 정상 모드와 상기 파워 세이빙 모드에 해당하는 전원 관리 신호를 생성하는 단계와; 상기 전원 관리 신호에 따라 제1팬 구동신호와 제2팬 구동신호를 생성하는 단계와; 상기 제1팬 구동신호에 따라 상기 냉각팬이 제1비율로 계속적으로 회전하도록 제어하고, 상기 제2팬 구동신호에 따라 상기 냉각팬이 제1비율보다 느린 제2비율로 계속적으로 회전하도록 제어하는 단계를 포함하는 마이크로 프로세서칩의 냉각팬 제어방법.
- 정상 모드와 파워 세이빙 모드중 하나로 동작하는 컴퓨터 시스템의 냉각팬의 회전속도를 제어하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 컴퓨터 시스템이 파워 세이빙 모드와 정상 모드중 어느 모드로 동작하는 지를 감지하는 단계와; 상기 정상 모드를 감지하면, 제1팬 구동신호를 생성하는 단계와; 상기 파워 세이빙 모드를 감지하면, 미리 결정된 시간동안 지연한 후, 제2팬 구동신호를 생성하는 단계와; 상기 제1팬 구동신호에 따라 제1회전 속도로 냉각팬을 구동하는 단계와; 상기 제2팬 구동신호에 따라 제1회전 속도보다 느린 제2회전 속도로 상기 냉각팬을 구동하는 단계를 포함하는 마이크로 프로세서칩의 냉각팬 제어방법.
