Claims (1)
- 소정 블록 단위의 영상 신호를 움직임 보상 DPCM(차분 펄스 부호 변조) 및 2차원 DCT(이산 코사인 변환)방식을 이용하여 압축 전송하는 하이브리드 영상 압축 장치에 있어서, 2차원 DCT 방식에 의하여 변환된 DCT 계수들을 양자화하는 양자화부(30)와; 상기 블록이 2차원 DCT 변환될 때에 DCT값이 형성되는 DCT 계수를 중심으로 하는 소정 개수의 DCT 계수들에 대응하는 양자화값들을 서로 상이하게 가지며 각각의 인덱스 값을 갖는 다수개의 패턴들로 구성되는 코드북(110)과; 상기 양자화부(30)에 의하여 양자화된 상기 블록내 양자화값들중 패턴들을 이루는 양자화값들에 대응하는 양자화값들과의 상기 패턴들의 양자화값들에 대한 평균 제곱 오차를 구하는 연산부(120)와; 상기 연산부(120)에서 구한 평균 제곱 오차값 중 가장 작은 오차값을 형성하는 패턴을 선택하여 그 인덱스를 송신하는 최소 오차값 선택부(130)와; 상기 양자화부(30)에 의하여 양자화된 상기 블록내 양자화값들중 상기 패턴들을 이루는 양자화값들에 대응하는 양자화값들을 제외한 양자화값들을 엔트로피 부호화하여 송신하는 부호화부(100)를 구비하는 벡터 양자화 방식을 이용한 영상 신호 부호화 장치.
