Claims (3)
- 소정 크기의 블럭데이타를 입력받아 데이타변환하고, 변환된 계수를 양자화하여 부호화하는 동영상부호화장치에 있어서, 프레임단위로 상기 블럭데이타를 입력받아, 각 블럭데이타의 영상특성을 판단하고, 그 영상특성에 해당하는 블럭의 스캔-패턴을 선택하여 가장 많이 선택된 스캔-패턴을 프레임단위의 스캔-패턴으로 결정하는 스캔-패턴 결정부; 및 상기 스캔-패턴결정부에 의해서 결정된 프레임단위의 스캔-패턴에 따라 상기 양자화된 계수를 스캔하여 발생되는 데이타를 부호화하는 가변장부호화부를 포함하는 부호화장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스캔-패턴결정부는 입력되는 각 블럭내 수평방향과 수직방향으로의 인접한 픽셀간의 차이값을 구하고, 그 차이값을 제곱하여 합산한 값을 서로 비교하여 큰 값을 가진 방향에 따라 스캔-패턴을 선택하는 것을 특징으로 하는 부호화장치.
- 소정크기의 블럭데이타를 입력받아 데이타변환하고, 변환된 계수를 양자화하여 부호화하는 동영상부호화방법에 있어서, 프레임단위로 상기 블럭데이타를 입력받는 단계; 입력받은 블럭데이타의 수평방향과 수직방향으로 각각 인접한 픽셀간의 차이값을 구하는 단계; 상기 수평방향으로 구한 차이값들과 수직방향으로 구한 차이값들을 각각 제곱하여 합산하는 단계; 상기 수평방향제곱합과 수직방향제곱합을 비교하여 양자화된 계수가 몰릴 방향을 예측하는 단계; 복수개의 스캔-패턴중 예측된 방향에 해당하는 스캔-패턴을 선택하는 단계; 프레임단위로 가장 많이 선택된 스캔-패턴을 프레임단위의 스캔-패턴으로 결정하는 단계; 및 상기 결정된 스캔-패턴에 따라 상기 양자화된 계수를 스캔하여 발생되는 데이타를 부호화하는 단계를 포함하는 영상특성에 따른 영상신호의 부호화방법.
