Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable such operation that is no clogging of a fuel nozzle hole by installing more than one porous fuel injection valves for high load in the same combustion chamber, and installing more than one air injection fuel valves for low load therein, in an engine using highly viscous fuel oil for its fuel. CONSTITUTION:In a direct injection tupe Diesel engine, an air injection fuel valve 10 for low load and a multihole fuel injection valve 11 for high load are installed in a cylinder cover 4, and fuel is selectively fed to either the fuel valve 10 or the injection valve 11 form a fuel tank by a fuel injection pump 12 via an injection pipe 14 and a selector valve 15. Compressed air is fed to the air injection fuel valve 10 from an air tank 19 via a feed pipe 19 by way of a feed pipe 21 after being heated by exhuast gas at air heater 20. This air injection fuel valve 10 is constituted of installing one large diametral nozzle hole and making a valve exist at an upstream nearer from the nozzle tip, thereby preventing the valve from clogging by fuel residu at stoppage at the time of high load.
