Abstract

PURPOSE: To inspect a structure component having the feature of known demension and a required value of allowable tolerance by preparing the multi- dimensional model of the structure component by using a position of which structural feature has been determined and comparing the prepared model with an inspection gauge model. CONSTITUTION: When an operator observes the ideal design or mode of a component 17 on a display device 12 and inputs allowable tolerance through a keyboard 13, a computer 11 inspects whether the syntax of the allowable tolerance information is correct or not, and at the time of judging the syntax as correct one, generates an inspection gauge model. Then, the component 17 on a supporting face 18 is moved along an inspection passage, positional data corresponding to the physical feature of the component 17 to be inspected are found out by a sensor 19 and the measured data are displayed on the device 12. Then, the inspection gauge and the measured data of the component 17 are accessed, comapared with each other by executing mathematical analysis by the computer 11 and superspoed on each other on the device 12 so that the component 17 can be visible displayed while being compared with the gauge.
