Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a superconducting film having high superconductive critical temperature, by producing a superconducting film consisting of a layer composed of Cu-O atomic pairs and a layer composed of other oxide by molecular beam epitaxial process, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A superconducting film having long-period structure is produced by alternately laminating a layer composed of Cu-O atomic pairs and a layer composed of other oxide by epitaxial process or sputtering process. The oxide layer other than the layer of Cu-O atomic pair is preferably a layer of oxide containing an element selected from Na, K, Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, V, Nb, In, Sn, Tl, Pb, Bi, Po, Ir and rare earth elements of atomic number of 57W71. A long-period regular structure can be imparted to the oxide material and a superconducting film having increased crystallinity of oxide and high critical temperature can be produced.
