Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a blower having no wind quantity reduction and low noises by opening the back face of the bell mouth of the suction port of a housing into the housing, and providing a sound absorbing material on the back face. CONSTITUTION: The bell mouth 2 is arranged on a suction port at the rear end of a tubular housing 5, and a sound absorbing material 1 is fitted onto the back face of the bell mouth 2. Urethane foam, glass wool, or sponge is used for the sound absorbing material 1. The air sucked from the bell mouth 2 by the rotation of moving blades 4 passes in the housing 5, and it is discharged from a duct 7 after being heated by a heater 9. Since the sound absorbing material 1 is arranged on the air intake port where the sound pressure becomes high, modes are hardly formed, the resonance amplification in the housing 5 is suppressed, and the noises sent to the outside from the housing 5 are reduced.
