Abstract

PURPOSE:To decide the genuineness of a card, by printing an identification pattern to either one of double-layer center cores and comparing an output waveform obtained by the difference of non-transmittance factor between the printed area and other areas with a normal pattern. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a cash card is decided for its genuineness. In this case, an identification pattern 8 such as a bar code, etc. is printed to either one of double-layer center cores 4 and 5, and a single side or both sides of the identification pattern are coated with transparent overcoat sheets 6 and 7 as required. This card is scanned 10 by a light transmittance meter 9 provided at the slit 9 of a cash dispenser when the card is inserted by a user. Then an A/D conversion 13 is given to an output waveform 11 which is obtained by the difference of non-transmittance factor between the printed area of the pattern 8 and other areas. This waveform 11 is compared 14 with a normal pattern that is previously stored in the dispenser itself to decide the genuineness 16 of the cash card.

As shown in Figure 1, the Canon Yudis Benser, which has been used by nine banks, etc., has a device at the entrance of the insertion slot that detects the entry and exit of cards, and if a card with an opacity of 2.0 or higher is inserted. When the card is pressed, it is recognized as a card and the player moves on to the next step. That is, in this case, the mechanism is such that any material can be recognized as a card if the light emitted from the irradiation part il1 is blocked by the card and has an opacity of 2.0 or more when it reaches the incidence part (2). The present invention is an attempt to improve this device and actively utilize it to prevent counterfeiting.

That is, the present invention prints an identification mark (7) such as a bar code on either side of the adhesive surface of the center core consisting of two layers,
If necessary, use a card with one or both sides covered with a transparent overcoat sheet, and when the user inserts this card into the can/judesbenser, a penetrameter is installed at the entrance to scan it. By A/D converting the output waveform obtained from the difference in opacity between the printed part and other parts of the identification/printer, and comparing this with data previously stored in the dispenser itself. This is a method to determine the authenticity of a card.

The center core sheet consists of two layers + 4) (5), and an identification pattern (8) such as a bar code is printed on either adhesive side. The center core sheet is usually a white or other opaque sheet, and the identification pattern is sandwiched between two layers of center core sheets and cannot be discerned with the naked eye.

) The light opacity due to K is 26, and the opacity of the non-printed part is 30-, so scan it with a light transmittance meter as shown in Figure 4 to obtain the output waveform CII) in Figure 5. Can be done. (See also the block diagram in FIG. 6) Furthermore, in order to add the effect of preventing counterfeiting, an appropriate slice level is set, and an upper level is determined by slicing at this level to determine the authenticity of the card. Therefore, if a mechanism is provided to reject cards with an opacity higher than the upper level when they are inserted into the insertion slot, this will serve as a mechanism for checking counterfeit cards.

In addition, the inspection mechanism according to the present invention is configured to A/D convert and store the identification pattern of a normal card.
The output waveform obtained in the figure is A/D converted and compared with the digital signal of the previous normal pattern to determine whether it is correct or not.

A barcode is placed on one of the two opaque white 0.2811m1 center core sheets made of PVC using Sumi Ink 5s-sooo No. 5 made by Toyo Ink ■! Printing was performed at 6 μm. Two center core sheets were glued together in a sandwich manner, and transparent overtones were glued to the front and back surfaces of the printed paper to obtain a card. The above ink tungsten halogen lamp (100V 70

) After setting the upper level (6,0), it is A/D converted and compared with the digital signal value of a preset identification pattern, and if they match, the next process is proceeded to. This includes 3 true cards and 2 cards with fake barcodes.
Two blank cards were inserted into this dispenser, but all cards other than the true cards could be removed before proceeding to the next step.
