Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the thrust force applied to a valve body by a method wherein on the downstream side in the running direction of working fluid of a valve body, there is provided a pressure port for regulating pressure in response to the opening of the valve.
CONSTITUTION: On the downstream side of a plate type valve 5 of a casing 3 there is provided a support 9 having a pressure port 8, while between the support 9 and the plate type valve 5 there is interposed a packing 10 to seal the outgoing side of a pressure port 8, and a vapor supply port 11 provided at the casing 3 is communicated with the pressure port 8. By keeping the vapor pressure of the pressure port 8 appropriately, the drivig force and thrust force of the plate type valve 5 can be reduced together with a long life.
