Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep constant the subscanning by manual operation, by linking a flywheel to a rotating shaft of a subscanning speed detecting wheel via an accelerating gear box. CONSTITUTION:When a cover 12 is moved, a subscanning speed detecting wheel 1 in contact to an original 6 is turned and the rotating speed is detected with a sensor 8. When the output pulse of the sensor 8 is taken as read-in start pulse of a photoelectric conversion element 11, the constant scanning line density is always obtained. Further, to prevent sudden change in the subscanning speed, an accelerating gear box and a flywheel 5 are provided.
