Abstract

PURPOSE:To use an inexpensive motor without requiring the accurate rotational frequencies of a fast-forwarding and a rewinding motor, by driving a take-up reel turntable in recording and reproduction by one motor while using the other as one dedicated to fast-forwarding and rewinding operations. CONSTITUTION:Under a sun gear 31, a pulley 31a is provided and a belt 33 is put between the pulley and the pulley 32a of the 2nd motor 32. The turning force of the sun gear 31 is transmitted to a rotary shaft 22 through a planet gear 24 and a disk 23 to turn a rocking gear 34 fitted a top of the rotary shaft 22. The rocking gear 34 engages with a gear 6c fitted to the rotary shaft 6a of a take-up reel turntable 6 and, when turned at a high speed, engages with the gear 5a of a rewind reel turntable 5 to rewind a tape at a high speed.
