Abstract

PURPOSE:To melt both metals simultaneously to increase the temp. of slag, prevent slag inclusion and improve welding efficiency by separating the composition of a build-up alloy to two metallic belt-like materials, cladding these two sheets, and feeding the same by bringing the belt-like material of a higher m.p. on the molten pool side. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 4 which is a metallic belt-like material of the highest m.p., and an electrode 5 which is a metallic belt-like material of a lower m.p. are laminated to two sheet cladding by feed rolls 6, and are fed simultaneously to a molten pool by a conductor jaw 7. At this time, the electrode 4 of the higher m.p. is disposed behind the electrode 5 with respect to the welding direction. Then, the electrodes 4, 5 melt simultaneously, and molten slag 11 is governed by the electrode 4 and has a higher temp., thereby obviating the occurrence of slag inclusion.
