Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic molding material which is excellent in the prevention of adhesion to a tank or the like in the molding process as well as the prevention of the production of silver streaks, burning and the like, by a method wherein after a specified treatment has been applied to the surfaces of styrene system resin pellets, a powder-shaped lubricant is made to adhere to said surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: After a powder-shaped styrene system resin has been melted and kneaded, it is discharged from an extruding die to obtain a resin strand, which is then cooled. Then, said resin strand is passed through a 0.02W0.005wt% water solution of an antistatic agent (e.g. fatty acid salt or the like) for, e.g. 3W5sec continuously in order to form a film of the antistatic agent, and then cut into pellets. Moreover, 0.01W0.1pt.wt. of a powder lubricant such as stearic acid is added to 100 parts by weight of said resin pellets and then stirred to mix together by using a low-speed stirring type mixer, preferably a tumbler or the like.
