Abstract

PURPOSE: To sort the conveyees precisely at a prescribed spot by attaching a symbol for sorting onto a conveyee to be sorted which is being loaded and transported on a truck which has a reclinable stand for the symbol to be read by an automatic reader provided ahead of the sorting section.
CONSTITUTION: A reclinable stand is provided on a cart 8 which runs by a conveyor 9. Said stand makes a bow at prescribed carry-out gate 6 to release a conveyee on the stand thereinto. Preceding the sorting section of the conveyer 9, an automatic label reader 21 is provided to read the bar code symbol attached onto the conveyee for an assignment of the carry-out gate to be performed by an unit 53 according the instruction given by the reader. The same signal (instruction from the reader) is eventually shifted to a carry-out instruction controller 52 to release the conveyee by making the stand to bow when the cart concerned passing is detected at a spot prescribed by the instruction from the reader. Since the releasing of the conveyee is performed by using an original controller unit, the job can be performed very speedily and precisely.
