Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a hydrated fuel which can retain its emulsified condition stably for a long period of time by adding a hydrating additive containing potassium permanganate, an alkali (or alkaline earth) metal nitrate, and an alkali hydroxide to the fuel.
CONSTITUTION: 5W35g of potassium permanganate, 20W80g of an alkali (or alkaline earth) metal nitrate, and 5W35g of an alkali hydroxide are added to and dissolved in 1,000cc of water to form a hydrating additive. Then, 1vol.pt. or less the said hydrating additive, 1W43vol.pts. water, and 100vol.pts. a petroleum (naphtha, heavy oil, Diesel oil, etc.) are mixed together to obtain the hydrated fuel.
