Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method of attaching a housing to fittings without any play wherein the fittings are provided on both insides with pivotable leaf springs having a horizontal portion and vertical portions and capable of sandwiching said housing between said springs when the housing is received by the fittings.
CONSTITUTION: When a housing 5 for electronic apparatus and the like are attached to fittings 1 fixed to a trunk, dashboard, etc. of a car, a notch portion 5a provided in the housing 5 is adapted to engage a stopper 13 provided inside the fittings 1 and pivot the housing 5 from a position shown by the chain line to a position shown by the solid line about the stopper 13. In the position shown by the solid line, the bottom surface of the housing 5 is supported by horizontal portions of main springs 11. Also, the main springs 11 have their horizontal portions urged in the direction (e) so that the vertical portions 11a are pivoted about shafts 11b respectively in the direction (f) to hold both sides of the housing 5 to the inward. Next, a handle 16 is pivoted in the direction (d) to engage its cam portion 16a with a hook 10 and complete the attachment.
