Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a laminate having fixed quality by a method wherein previously set resin melting viscosity proper to start pressing is detected by the quantity of decrease in the thickness direction of prepreg, and the prepreg is pressed when the quantity reaches a fixed value, in a method wherein the prepreg is heated at low pressure and then the pressure is elevated.
CONSTITUTION: A material formed by impregnating phenol resin to a paper base material is used as the prepreg 4, eight prepregs are stacked and employed as the blank of a laminated material, specular plates 3 in stainless are held, cushion materials 2 are located up and down and the prepregs are formed between press hot discs 1. In order to measure the quantity of the decrease of the thickness of the prepreg, a decrease quantity reading gauge 5 is mounted to a press. A forming condition shall be 30kg/cm2 pressure, and the prepreg is heated for 60min by the pressurized steam of 8kg/cm2. The speed of thickness decrease is obtained from the relationship of the time elapsed and the quantity of thickness decrease, and the prepreg is pressed at a fixed point of time after the minimum melting viscosity (62% thickness decrease quantity) of resin of (a) in Fig. 3.
