Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily and quickly measure the sectional shape, by illuminating a substance in flat plate, and making incident the reflected light to a linear array after deflection of it at a deflection means, and by the operation of a deflection position signal from the deflection means and the position signal. CONSTITUTION:The light from a laser light source 1 cuts off a substance 4 in an X-Y plane via a beam expander 2 and a rotary phlyhedral mirror 3. The reflected light is formed on a CCD element 9 located on a Y axis via an eye sight lens 5, image forming lens 6 and rotating mirror 7. On the other hand, pulses from a pulse oscillator 10 turn a rotating mirror 13 via a counter 11, DA converter 12, driver 13 and motor 19. The signal from a DA converter 12 is fed to a processor 14 and it is operated with a position signal from a linear array 9, the result is fed to an X-Y printer 15 or plotter 16, or stored in a magnetic memory 17. Thus, the sectional shape is easily and quickly measured.
