Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.高めの排ガス温度と低めの排ガス温度の間で変動を示すディーゼルエンジ ンシステムであって、その低めの温度はNOxをN2に有意に触媒転化させるのに 不十分であり、リーンNOx触媒と未燃焼燃料用吸着剤を備えたリーンNOx触媒 システムが装備・構成され、エンジン運転サイクルが低めの排ガス温度の部分の 時にその吸着剤が未燃焼燃料を吸着し、運転サイクルが高めの排ガス温度の部分 の時にその吸着剤が未燃焼燃料を放出し、排ガス中の未燃焼燃料と併せてNOx 転化を高めるのに有効なディーゼルエンジンシステム。 2.吸着剤が金属化又は非金属化ゼオライトである請求項1に記載のシステム 。 3.触媒が酸化物又はゼオライト担体上の白金基剤触媒である請求項1又は2 に記載のシステム。 4.ディーゼルエンジンが軽量ディーゼルである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項 に記載のシステム。 5.吸着剤が190〜250℃の温度で未燃焼燃料を脱着するのに有効である 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。 6.リーンNOx触媒と未燃焼燃料用吸着剤を備えた触媒システムに適するデ ィーゼルエンジンのNOx転化を高める方法であって、排ガスが低めの温度のエ ンジン運転サイクルの部分の時に吸着剤に排ガスの未燃焼燃料を吸着させ、排ガ スが高めの温度の運転サイクルの部分の時にその吸着剤から未燃焼燃料を脱着さ せることを含み、それによって、全運転サイクルにわたる総計としてNOx転化 を高める方法。 7.吸着剤が190〜250℃の温度で未燃焼燃料を脱着するの に有効である請求項6に記載の方法。
