Description

A substrate with repositionable adhesiveness has adhesive strength sufficient to hold documents, etc., and to easily remove the held documents, etc. The substrate may be in the form of a plate or film on which a weak adhesive layer made of an adhesive is formed.

The adhesive for the weak adhesive layer can be made of an acrylic resin, a urethane resin, a polyester resin, a silicone resin, etc. Commercially available adhesives for adhesive memo paper can also be suitably used.

The adhesive strength of the weak adhesive layer varies depending on the material of the document to be attached, but it is desirable that the peel strength be 1 to 400 g/inch, preferably 1 to 100 g/inch, and more preferably 1 to 20 g/inch. In order to achieve the above-mentioned peel strength, it is possible to adjust the adhesive strength of the adhesive itself, or to use a weak adhesive layer that reduces the burden on documents when attaching or detaching by partially contacting the adhesive with the surface to be attached, such as a matrix adhesive layer in which the adhesive is formed in a matrix.

At least one of the substrate 1 and film 2 has a transparency sufficient to allow the characters on the held document, etc. to be readable. For example, when the substrate 1 has a porous or porous electrostatically adsorbable layer made of an electrostatically chargeable polymer, or when the transparency of the weak adhesive layer is low, it is necessary to use a transparent film as the film 2. Furthermore, in order to facilitate installation on other members such as walls, window panes, etc., the document holder of the present invention is preferably provided with a function for adhering to other members (adhesion function) on either the substrate 1 or the film 2. Such an adhesion function can be imparted by providing an electrostatic adsorption layer, a weak adhesive layer, a suction layer , or a magnetic layer on the outer surface of the substrate 1 or the film 2, i.e., the surface opposite the surface that holds the document.

The weak adhesive layer and suction layer may also have the same configuration as that described for the document holding function of the substrate 1. For example, a matrix adhesive layer may be provided on the outer surface of the substrate 1 or the film 2 as a re-peelable weak adhesive layer , or a suction layer made of a soft and flexible resin may be provided.

The document holder of the present invention can further include a writing layer on the outer surface of the substrate 1 and/or film 2. The writing layer is provided on the material that does not have the above-mentioned layer (electrostatic adsorption layer, weak adhesive layer , suction cup layer, magnetic layer) for adhering to other components. By providing such a writing layer, it becomes possible to write characters or the like on the surface of the substrate or film. In particular, when the material on which the writing layer is provided is a transparent substrate or transparent film, it is possible to write on the document sandwiched between the film and the substrate while viewing the document through the transparent material without smearing the document.
