Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take a memo at anytime as needed on a part of the work surface of a mouse pad, without separately preparing a memo paper sheet or the like an to easily erase it when it is not required by providing a writing surface for freely writing and erasing characters or the like. SOLUTION: A writing surface 3 is provided on a part of the work surface 2 of the mouse of a mouse pad main body 1. For the writing surface 3, a writing layer composed of smooth surface of a white base is constituted on the surface of the appropriate base body of rubber or urethane or the like, and the characters and graphics are easily and freely written and erased with a water- soluble pen 4 such as the so-called white board. A urethane layer or the like can be provided on the back surface of the base body. In such a manner, since the writing surface 3 is provided on a part of the work surface 2 of the mouse, when the memo or the like is required during input work using the mouse, the memo is taken, without separately preparing the memo paper sheet and office work efficiency is improved. Also, since write and erasure are easily performed on the writing surface 3, waste paper is not generated and resources are utilized effectively.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, a computer has been introduced for efficiency of office work, and a mouse has been widely used as one of the input devices. As mouse pads for operating the mouse, various shapes and surface materials have been provided, but all of them have been designed to improve the efficiency of rolling of a mouse ball.

Generally, in a computer input operation, characters and numbers are input on a display screen using a mouse or a keyboard. During the input operation, numbers and words on the screen are input. In the drawings, 1 is a mouse pad body, 2 is a work surface of a mouse, and 3 is a writing surface provided on a part of the work surface 2.
