Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the subject cold insulation intended to prevent the rise in food temperature even under inadequate temperature control conditions and to entirely remove drips developed during fresh food distribution by using a cold insulation container combined with drip absorptivity which can be produced by a specific means. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a water-absorptive sheet 2 is laid on the inner bottom of a food packaging container 1 and covered with a moisture-impermeable film 3 having numerous fine water-penetrable holes 30, and the edges of this film 3 are bound to the container 1. Second, the sheet 2 is made to hold water at such a volume as to be account for 20-80wt.% of its maximum water absorption. Finally, said container 1 is frozen to freeze the water held followed by putting foods into the container 1.

At retail stores, these products are made into sales shapes, packed in packaging containers, and displayed at low temperatures in refrigerated cases at stores. The distribution route is that consumers purchase this and take it home at room temperature. At this time, functions such as drip water absorption and cold retention are not added to the packaging container body used. Therefore, there is a problem in that it requires time and expense to separately seal the drip water absorbent sheet, cold storage/ice pack, etc. in the same container, and furthermore, a storage space for these materials is required at the retail store.

Decrease in the freshness of fresh foods is caused by factors such as the enzyme action of the fresh foods themselves, the proliferation of spoilage bacteria attached to the fresh foods, and the generation of drips, and the influence of these factors changes greatly depending on the temperature.

For this reason, there is relatively little loss of freshness in environments where temperature is controlled, such as in refrigerated display cases at retail stores. but,
The temperature of fresh food rises in environments where temperature control is insufficient, such as when consumers take it home from the store, and especially in private cars, buses, etc., and during high temperatures in the summer. is remarkable.

As a result of intensive research to solve the above problems, the inventors of the present invention laid a water-absorbent sheet inside a food packaging container, let this water-absorbent sheet retain water, and frozen the retained water to improve drip absorbency. The inventors have discovered that a cold storage method using a cold storage container having the following functions is effective, and have completed the present invention.

In order to retain the water absorption ability to completely absorb and remove drips from food, the maximum water absorption capacity of the water absorbent sheet is 20 to 8.
It is preferable to set it to 0%. The maximum water absorption amount was measured by the following method. The weight (-1) of the water absorbent sheet is measured, and after immersing it in tap water for 30 minutes, it is naturally dried on a 16-mesh wire mesh for 20 minutes, and the weight (Hz) is measured.
