The present invention is based on the general formula [In the formula, R represents a lower alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, or a halo-lower alkyl group. ] N-phenyltetrahydrophthalimide derivative (hereinafter referred to as compound []) shown by 3-
A herbicide characterized by containing isopropyl-1H-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide (hereinafter referred to as bentazone) or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. The present invention relates to a composition (hereinafter referred to as the composition of the present invention). Currently, a large number of herbicides are used as herbicides for upland fields, but since there are many types of weeds to control and their emergence takes a long time, they are more effective and have a wide herbicidal spectrum. There is a need for herbicides that are safe for crops. As a result of various studies to develop a herbicide that meets these objectives, the present inventors discovered the compound []
and bentazone or its salt as active ingredients, the composition of the present invention can selectively weed various weeds, especially a wide range of weeds in soybean fields,
Moreover, the present invention was completed based on the discovery that the herbicidal effect is synergistically increased compared to when they are used alone, and that they can be applied at lower dosages. The weeds targeted by the composition of the present invention include morning glories such as whiteweed, blueberry, polygonum, polygonum, chickweed, purslane, Japanese fir tree, Japanese morning glory, Japanese commonweed, common morning glory, and other morning glories; There are dicotyledonous plants such as sunflower, and monocotyledonous plants such as foxtail grass, sorghum, sorghum, and other plants. The composition of the present invention is particularly suitable for weeds that are extremely difficult to weed, such as morning glories such as Aspergillus vulgare.
It is possible to simultaneously weed out the weeds and the American hornwort. Compound [] (Patent Application No. 1982-212396
-110566), Japanese Patent Application No. 13845 (1982)
131969), Japanese Patent Application No. 17858 (1982),
Bentazone or its salts (Herbicide Handbook of the

その結果を第2表および第3表に示す。[Table] When the composition of the present invention is used as a herbicide, it is usually formulated into an emulsion, wettable powder, suspension, etc. using a solid carrier, a liquid carrier, a surfactant, and other formulation auxiliaries. These preparations contain active ingredients in a weight ratio of 0.5 to 90.
%, preferably 2 to 80%. Solid carriers include kaolin clay, attapulgiaite clay, bentonite, acid clay, pyrofluorite, talc, diatomaceous earth, calcite, walnut powder,
There are fine powders or granules such as urea, ammonium sulfate, and synthetic hydrous silicon oxide, and liquid carriers include aromatic hydrocarbons such as xylene and methylnaphthalene, alcohols such as isopropanol, ethylene glycol, and cellosolve, acetone, cyclohexanone, Examples include ketones such as isophorone, vegetable oils such as soybean oil and cottonseed oil, dimethyl sulfoxide, acetonitrile, and water. Surfactants used for emulsification, dispersion, wetting, etc. include negative salts such as alkyl sulfate salts, alkyl (aryl) sulfonate salts, dialkyl sulfosuccinate salts, and polyoxyethylene alkylaryl ether phosphate salts. Examples include ionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkylaryl ether, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene block copolymer, sorbitan fatty acid ester, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester. Formulation auxiliaries include lignin sulfonate, alginate, polyvinyl alcohol, gum arabic, CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose), PAP (isopropyl acid phosphate).
etc. Examples of formulations are shown below. In addition, the compound [ ] which is an active ingredient is shown by the compound number of Table 1, and the part is shown by weight part. Formulation Example 1 10 parts of compound (1) or (3), 10 parts of bentazone (sodium salt), 10 parts of synthetic hydrous silicon oxide, 3 parts of alkyl sulfate, 2 parts of calcium ligninsulfonate, and 65 parts of diatomaceous earth were thoroughly ground and mixed. to obtain a hydrating agent. Formulation example 2 Compound (2) 4 parts, bentazone 2 parts, polyoxyethylene styrylphenyl ether 14 parts, calcium dodecylbenzenesulfonate 6 parts, xylene 34 parts
1 part and 40 parts of cyclohexanone are mixed well to obtain an emulsion. Formulation Example 3 5 parts of compound (2) or (4), 3 parts of polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate, 3 parts of CMC, and 69 parts of water were mixed and wet-pulverized until the particle size of the active ingredient became 5 microns or less. A suspension is obtained by dissolving 20 parts of bentazone (sodium salt). These preparations are diluted with water and sprayed on foliage.
Furthermore, by mixing it with other herbicides, it can be expected that the herbicidal efficacy will be enhanced. Also, insecticides,
Acaricides, nematicides, fungicides, plant growth regulators,
It can also be used in combination with fertilizers, soil conditioners, etc. The composition and application amount of the present invention vary depending on weather conditions, soil conditions, formulation form of the composition, mixing ratio of active ingredients, target weeds and crops, etc., but usually, the amount of the compound [ ] and bentazone or its salt per are is The total amount is 1.5-20g. Emulsions, wettable powders, suspensions, etc. are diluted with 1 liter to 10 liters of water per area (if necessary, a spreading aid such as a spreading agent is added) before application. In addition to the above-mentioned surfactants, the spreading agent includes polyoxyethylene resin acid (ester), lignin sulfonate, abietate, dinaphthylmethane disulfonate, paraffin, and the like. Next, test examples will be given to illustrate specific examples of the herbicidal effect of the composition of the present invention. The herbicidal efficacy is expressed as the growth inhibition rate (%) calculated by the following formula by measuring the fresh weight of the above-ground parts of the test plants that remained dead at the time of the survey. Growth inhibition rate (%) = (1 - fresh weight of above-ground parts of test plants in treated area / fresh weight of above-ground parts of test plants in untreated area) x 10
0 Test example 1 A cylindrical plastic pot with a diameter of 10 cm and a depth of 10 cm is filled with field soil, sown with morning glory or American hornwort, covered with soil, and placed outdoors.
It was grown for 20 days. A predetermined amount of the composition of the present invention made into a wettable powder according to Formulation Example 1 was diluted with water containing a spreading agent, and sprayed on foliage using a small sprayer from above a plastic pot at a rate of 5 liters per are. At the time of spraying, the morning glory was at the true two-leaf stage, and the American hornwort was at the compound two-leaf stage. After spraying, the plants were grown outdoors for 20 days and their herbicidal efficacy was investigated. The results are shown in Tables 2 and 3.
