本考案は、水密性及び気密性良好なダクトの連

〈従来技術及び問題点〉
従来よりダクトの連結部は、フランジ面相互間
にゴム及び/又は合成樹脂などからなる紐状弾性
体が前記フランジ面に沿つて圧縮して介挿され、

しかして、かかる連結構造においては、介挿さ
れる紐状弾性体が一般に断面四角形状とされてい
るので、第3図に示す如く、略直角状のコーナー
部21′を含むフランジ面20A′に沿つて折り曲
げ状態で装着したとき弾性体3′の折り曲げ部に
おいて内側と外側との曲率半径の相違により夫々
の被着体接触面(図示では上面と下面)に皺Wが
発生するものである。このような皺Wはダクト内
を流れる水蒸気の結露水をダクト外に流出させた
り、送風空気をダクト外に漏出させて送風効率を
低下せしめる原因となる。こうした皺Wをなくす
ためには介挿される紐状弾性体の圧縮をできるだ
け大きくして皺を弾性体内に吸収する必要がある
が、かかる圧縮状態とするためにダクトが構造上
大がかりなものとなつたり、過剰な圧縮によつて
紐状弾性体の復元能を早期に低下せしめる原因と

る紐状弾性体が前記フランジ面に沿つて圧縮して

面20Bをこのように貼着された弾性体3の頂部
付近に当接し、軽く圧縮すればよい。しかして弾
性体3は断面三角形状に成形加工されているの
で、第2図に示す如く、略直角に折り曲げたとき
の折り曲げ部において発生する皺Wは底面部との
境界部分に集中し、被着体(フランジ面)接触面
である底面部及び頂部付近には到らないものであ
る。このためフランジ面20のコーナー部21,
…に沿つて装着しても弾性体3に対するフランジ
面20Bの圧縮を過剰に大きくすることなく、フ
ランジ面20A,20B相互間は充分にシールさ

ことがないという特徴を有する。従つて、構造上
大がかりなものとすることなく長期に亘つて水密
性及び気密性の良好なダクトの連結構造を提供す
