Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a nonpollution rodent expellent, consisting essentially of a water absorbing resin absorbing water and swelling and capable of sufficiently exterminating rats. CONSTITUTION:A rodent expellent consisting essentially of a water absorbing resin, e.g. a hydrolyzate of starch (or cellulose)-acrylonitrile graft polymer, absorbing water and swelling. If a rat eats the aforementioned rodent expellent, the water absorbing resin slowly absorbs water in the stomach of the rat to swell and cells in the stomach, etc., can be kept in a dehydrated state to kill the rat. Further, the water absorbing resin swells to a volume of about 1000 to 2000 times to burst the viscera of the rat and completely kill the rat. The water absorbing resin has no phytotoxicity as opposed to conventional agents without causing secondary pollution even by discarding treatment. Furthermore, if the expellent is placed in a garret, the role as a drying agent can be also fulfilled.

いるが、このような薬剤を畑等においたり、又はゴミ捨
場等に廃棄処分する時に、雨等の影響によりこの薬剤が
土壌中に染み込んで、土壌及び植物等に薬害が生じ、二
次公害が発生ずるという問題点があった。

吸収し膨張する吸水性樹脂を主成分としたネズミ駆除剤
としたことである。

000倍〜2000倍程度の体積膨張を伴い、ネズミの
内蔵を破裂させてネズミを完全に死滅させることができ
る。

性樹脂とともにネズミの好物である穀物、魚介類の乾燥
粉末等を混入して粒状、フレーり状、繊維状等に形成し
たものであり、これを所定のブロック状に固めたり、又
は袋等に封入して用いられる。

樹脂でも良い。尚、澱粉又はセルロースと水溶性単量体
及び/又は加水分解により水溶性となる単量体と架橋剤
とを必須性分として重合させ、必要により加水分解を行
なうことにより得られる吸水樹脂であっても良い。

吸水による膨張率は1000倍以上となるものを用いる
ことが好ましい。
