ス通路3内を上昇し、炉室8内の石炭層上に残つ
ている水平な空間を通り、炉頂にある上昇管を経
て外部へ吸い出される。炉蓋本体4の側縁に取付
けられているナイフエツジ状密封条片6は、炉蓋
を閉じる際炉体9a,9bに埋設された炉蓋枠7
a,7bに密接して、気密閉鎖を行なう。

ロツク状で、板のように鋭い縁がないので、炉蓋
脱着の際炉体内壁を損傷することがない。更に案
内兼間隔保持素子は、従来の密封板や石炭侵入防
止板のように炉蓋本体の全高さにわたつて延びて
いないので、炉蓋本体への取付けも簡単になり、
熱による変形の影響も少ない。
