In the conventional examples shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, since the bus circuit board 6 is arranged around the power supply terminal section 20 of the liquid crystal display element 1, a large space around the display section is required, and the personal computer, This caused problems in the miniaturization of devices such as word processors. Further, although the conventional example shown in FIG. 3 allows the device to be made more compact, since the output terminal portion 4& of the film carrier 4 is bent, the lead strength at the bent portion is weakened, resulting in a lack of connection reliability.

The film carrier 10 has a driving element 9 mounted in the center of the film carrier. Film carrier 10 ■ The output terminal section 10 & is brought into contact with the power supply terminal section 8 , and the film carrier 10 is placed on the power supply terminal section 8 . However, film carrier 1o
The input terminal section 1ob is not disposed on the power supply terminal section 8, but protrudes to the periphery of the liquid crystal display element 70. The input terminal section 1obq is connected to the bus circuit board 11, and when the input terminal section 10b is bent into a U-shape and the bus circuit board 11 is installed on the back side of the liquid crystal display element 7, as shown in FIG. It becomes like that.

実装が可能となる。According to the configuration of the liquid crystal display device of this embodiment as described above,
To solve the problem that the space around the display section was large, which hindered the miniaturization of devices, it was possible to save space by arranging the bus circuit board below the liquid crystal display element 70. It will also be possible to make it more compact. In addition, regarding the problem that the lead strength is reduced by bending the output terminal part IQIL of the film carrier 10, from the bending of the output terminal part 101L side to the input terminal part 1ob side 0
If the input terminal portion 1ob is changed to bending, the lead wire width of the input terminal portion 1ob is wide, so it is strong against bending, and the strength of the lead wire can be increased. Furthermore, since the film carrier 10 and the bus circuit board 11 are held by the liquid crystal display element 7, mechanical stress on the lead portion can be reduced, and connection reliability can be greatly improved. Furthermore, since the thin bus circuit board 11 is used, it is possible to implement a thin mounting in which the thickness of the liquid crystal display element 7 remains almost the same even when driving elements are mounted.
