Abstract

PURPOSE:To relieve the load of an electronic filing system by providing a function converting a picture signal and matching the size of the screen. CONSTITUTION:When an encoding system for an original size or picture information is not coincident, a 2nd encoding/decoding circuit 5 stores a signal resulting from decoding input picture information into a picture memory 3 via a 2nd buffer memory 6. A magnification/reduction circuit 4 converts the original size of a signal stored in the picture memory 5 into new size and stores the result into the memory 3 again. A 1st encoding/decoding circuit 2 applies compression encoding to a signal read from the picture memory 3 in matching with the electronic filing system and sends the result via a 1st buffer memory 1.

テム内の符号化復号化方式をファクシミリ装置の符号復
号方式に合せる必要があり、また、ファクシミリ装置で
受信できない大きな画面寸法(例えばA3判)の場合に
は、画像信号を84判に縮小変換する必要があるので電
子ファイリングシステムに対する負荷の増大を招くとい
う欠点がある。
