Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the erasion of traces of black and color pencil leads with low density by adding a mixture of vinyl chloride resin, a plasticizer, a stabilizer and an inorganic filler and giving a specific concentration of a porous inorganic substance to the inorganic filler. CONSTITUTION:To increase the erasion of traces of black and color pencil leads with low density by a plastic character eraser using vinyl chloride resin on a plastic base, a porous inorganic substance, with many fine pores and voids, which does not indicate any molecular flocculation structurally is used as part of an inorganic filler for a plastic character eraser composition. For the addition of this porous inorganic substance, the required amount is equivalent to 20-55% of the total amount of the inorganic filler. If 20% or less, the plastic character eraser is short of reaching the required level of hardness in terms of quality as the conventional eraser is. If the percentage is 55% or more, the hardness increases but the characteristics of vinyl chloride resin in the plastic character eraser are deteriorated. Consequently, the shortcoming is apparent that erasure waste produced by abrasion increases more than necessary. In addition, the casting of the plastic resin into the forms becomes difficult due to the high viscosity of plastic sols in a manufacturing process.

The present invention relates to a plastic eraser composition which has particularly high hardness and rigidity by containing a porous inorganic substance, and has excellent erasability of black lead, particularly thin black lead and colored pencil lead handwriting.

According to the S standard, the hardness is stipulated to be 50 or higher, and the focus was mainly on HB handwriting with a black core as the target for erasing.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In the conventional plastic eraser obtained in this way,
Handwriting with a thin black core is written with high pen pressure, so the carbon powder adheres strongly to the paper surface, and in order to erase this, it is essential that the eraser rubs off strongly and makes convenient contact with the carbon powder. However, it is too soft to be strongly abraded, and the eraser dust is too large for it to come into contact with the carbon powder firmly and deeply adhered to the paper surface. Furthermore, when it comes to erasing handwriting from colored pencil lead, the eraser is flexible and the eraser dust is sticky, so it is impossible to erase the handwriting sufficiently by simply stretching out the colored area on the paper by rubbing.

(Means for solving the problem) In order to improve the erasability of thin black lead and colored pencil lead handwriting of plastic erasers that use vinyl chloride resin as the plastic base material, molecules do not aggregate due to their structure and have fine pores. A porous inorganic material having a large number of voids was used to replace a part of the inorganic filler in a plastic eraser composition. The amount of this porous inorganic added should be 20 to 55% of the inorganic filler; if it is less than 20%, the hardness will be insufficient and the quality will be similar to conventional plastic erasers.
If it exceeds 55%, the hardness increases, but on the other hand, the characteristics of the vinyl chloride resin in plastic erasers are impaired, and the drawback that the generation of eraser debris due to abrasion becomes more than necessary becomes apparent. Problems arise with pouring into the mold due to viscosity. In order to fully exhibit the characteristics of the plastic eraser of the present invention, the amount added should ideally be 40
It is appropriate to set it to 50%.
