を考え、後ろ方向、左右方向は全く考えていないことで
ある。本発明は前方向に動かす作業は中腰姿勢にならざ
るを得ないが、掃引方向が後ろ方向、左右方向ならば伝
統的な座敷箒の如くほぼ腕の運動であって、腰には過大

方に延びる。外側スカートと内側スカートとは実質上同
じ弾性を有する扁平環(図2)でありこの間に穂先束の
根本を強固に保持し、上記クラウン部6の下縁に弾性嵌
着する。これら内、外側スカートは穂先の弾撥力を助成
し、且つ穂先束に生じがちな癖を良く矯正して中空部を
確保し、大きな塵埃でも吸引できるようにする。穂先束
は1連となって環状に配置され断面が細長方形の中空部
を作る(図2)が、この各長辺にある穂先束9、9′は
長さを夫々異ならせ(図3)、且つ穂先束長さの短い方
の穂先束9は中央部が若干短めになるよう三ケ月形(図
1)に刈り込むことにより掃き寄せ時に塵埃を蹴散らか
さずに有効に中空部に取り込むことが出来る。尚、矢印
11はヘッドの掃引方向を示す。また図3断面よりわか
るように外側スカート7の垂下長さは図の左右側で同じ
であるが、内側スカート8、8′は穂先束長さに応じて
異ならせてある。また細長方形両短辺部穂先は狭い隙間
に入り込み塵埃を掻き出すのに便利である。

不要となる。本発明によると、ヘッドが極端に軽くかつ
ほぼ腕を左右乃至は後方へスイングするだけの作業であ
って腰の前後屈運動ではないので剛性パイプ5を取り外
して柄を短くして片手箒のように中腰で掃引を反復して
も腰の負担にはならない。従来、埃り掻き出しの為掃除
機本体の大型化を余儀なくされていた真空吸引を、人力
による掻き出しに代えた結果、掃除機本体が小型機です
