Description
【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は、熱可塑性樹脂からなる成形品に一体成形さ
れたボスと被結合体とを締結する熱かしめ装置に関する
ものである。

従来、パワーモジュールの外装成形品と被結合体である
ヒートシンクを結合する際には、外装成形品に一体成形
されたボスとヒートシンクを嵌合し、半田ごてにより溶
融させ接合していた。これを第4図によりさらに説明す
る。

成形品1に一体成形されたボス、1dは従来のかしめ後の
ボス、2は被結合体であるヒートシンク、2aはこのヒー
トシンク2に形成されたボス1aが嵌合する嵌合穴、3は
前記ボス1aを溶融してかしめるための半田ごて、4aはこ
の半田ごて3の先端に取り付けられたかしめ治具であ
る。

次に、動作について説明する。
外装成形品1と一体成形されたボス1aにヒートシンク2
の嵌合穴2aを嵌合させた後、半田ごて3で加熱されたか
しめ治具4aでボス1aを押えると、ボス1aが可塑化して頭
部が変形し、成形後のボス1bの状態になり、熱かしめの
作業を終了する。

従来の半田ごて3で行う接合方法では、かしめ治具4aの
接触による熱伝導で溶融していた。このため、ボス1aの
溶融に時間を要し溶融状態が不安定で溶融部と非溶融部
の界面にクラックが発生するなど、ヒートシンク2が確
実に固定されない問題点があった。また、かしめ後の表
面状態も悪く、かしめ治具4aに樹脂が付着するため、こ
れを除去する清掃を必要とするなどの問題点があった。

溶融に時間を要し溶融状態が不安定で溶融部と非溶融部
の界面にクラックが発生するなど、ヒートシンク2が確
実に固定されない問題点があった。また、かしめ後の表
面状態も悪く、かしめ治具4aに樹脂が付着するため、こ
れを除去する清掃を必要とするなどの問題点があった。
この発明は、上記のような問題点を解消するためになさ
れたもので、所要時間の短縮ができ、均一なかしめ品質
を得ることができるとともに、かしめの表面状態も美麗
にできる熱かしめ装置を得ることを目的とする。

この発明に係る熱かしめ装置は、一体成形されたボスを
有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌合
する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを熱かしめする装置であ
って、被結合体を成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、ボ
スを予熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱されたボ
スを所要形状に成形する1本以上のかしめ治具と、この
かしめ治具をボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、かしめ治具
に回転力を与える回転部と、かしめ治具によりボスを押
圧成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備え
たものである。

この発明においては、ボスに熱風を吹付け可塑化させた
ボスを、加熱したかしめ治具で押圧し、回転させ成形を
行い、成形したボスを冷却し硬化させるようにしたこと
から、溶融→成形→硬化の順で熱かしめが迅速に、かつ
高品質に行われ、さらに安定したかしめが行われる。

以下、この発明の一実施例を図面について説明する。
第1図はこの発明の一実施例を示す熱かしめ装置の概要
構成を示す図である。第1図において、第4図,第5図
と同一符号は同一構成部分を示し、4Aは前記ボス1aを成
形するかしめ治具で、このかしめ治具4Aは、上部に回転
機構を有し、上下方向にスライドができるように支承さ
れている。5は前記かしめ治具4Aを加熱するヒータ、6
は上部の固定板(図示せず)に取り付けられたかしめ治
具4Aを押圧する押圧部、7は正転,逆転の揺動運動を
し、かしめ治具4Aの回転機構に回転を伝達し、かしめ治
具4Aを揺動させる回転部であり、この回転部7は押圧部
6の押圧でかしめ治具4Aとともに上下にスライドする。
8はノズルより冷却用空気を吹き出し、樹脂の硬化を促
進させる冷却部、9は外部より供給された空気を加熱
し、熱風を発生する予熱部、10は上下にスライドし、嵌
合された外装成形品1とヒートシンク2をクランプする
加圧部、11は前記外装成形品1とヒートシンク2を嵌合
したものを位置決めし、かしめ位置にセットする位置決
め治具、12は前記位置決め治具11を取り付けている定盤
である。

し、かしめ治具4Aの回転機構に回転を伝達し、かしめ治
具4Aを揺動させる回転部であり、この回転部7は押圧部
6の押圧でかしめ治具4Aとともに上下にスライドする。
8はノズルより冷却用空気を吹き出し、樹脂の硬化を促
進させる冷却部、9は外部より供給された空気を加熱
し、熱風を発生する予熱部、10は上下にスライドし、嵌
合された外装成形品1とヒートシンク2をクランプする
加圧部、11は前記外装成形品1とヒートシンク2を嵌合
したものを位置決めし、かしめ位置にセットする位置決
め治具、12は前記位置決め治具11を取り付けている定盤
である。
第2図は、第1図のかしめ部の詳細を示す拡大断面図で
あり、かしめ治具4Aにより前記ボス1aを成形し、成形後
のボス1bとし、外装成形品1とヒートシンク2を結合し
たものである。

第3図はかしめ部の他の例を示す拡大断面図で、かしめ
治具4Bによりボス1aを形成し、成形後のボス1cとしたも
のである。この場合のかしめ治具4Bには円錐状の突起4b
を設け、ボス1aを芯部まで可塑化させて形成し、成形後
のボス1cの形状にする。

次に、動作について説明する。
第1図のように、外装成形品1とヒートシンク2を嵌合
した状態のものを、位置決め治具11にセットし、ボス1a
がかしめ位置にくると、加圧部10が下がり外装成形品1
とヒートシンク2をクランプする。その後、予熱部9で
発生した熱風をボス1aに吹き付け、可塑化を行う。この
可塑化状態のボス1aにヒータ5で加熱したかしめ治具4A
を押圧部6により押圧し、回転部7でかしめ治具4A上部
の回転機構に回転を伝達し、かしめ治具4Aを回転させ押
圧中のボス1aを成形する。

の回転機構に回転を伝達し、かしめ治具4Aを回転させ押
圧中のボス1aを成形する。
成形後、押圧中のボス1aの硬化を促進させるために、冷
却部8のノズルより冷風をかしめ治具4Aに吹き付け、か
しめ治具4Aの温度を降下させて、ボス1bを硬化させる。
押圧部6によるかしめ治具4Aの押圧および加圧部10の加
圧を解除し作業を終了する。

なお、第3図のようにかしめ治具4Bの先端に円錐状の突
起4bを設けておけば、ボス1aの芯部まで可塑化させて成
形後のボス1cの形状にすることにより、溶融部のかしめ
状態をより強いものにすることができる。

また、第1図に示す実施例はかしめ治具4Aが2本の場合
であるが、複数本設けておき、複数箇所同時にかしめを
行うようにすれば、さらに能率よくかしめ作業が行われ
る。

以上説明したように、この発明は、一体成形されたボス
を有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌
合する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを熱かしめする装置で
あって、被結合体を成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、
ボスを予熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱された
ボスを所要形状に成形する1本以上のかしめ治具と、こ
のかしめ治具をボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、かしめ治

えたので、接合強度が増し、成形表面が美麗になるとと
もに、高品質のものが得られる。

- 【請求項1】一体成形されたボスを有する熱可塑性樹脂
を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌合する嵌合穴を有する
被結合体とを熱かしめする装置であって、前記被結合体
を前記成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、前記ボスを予
熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱されたボスを所
要形状に成形する1本以上のかしめ治具と、このかしめ
治具を前記ボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、前記かしめ治
具に回転力を与える回転部と、前記かしめ治具により前
記ボスを押圧成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却
部とを備えたことを特徴とする熱かしめ装置。
