Bank notes, passports, securities, cards, etc. are required to be difficult to counterfeit or be altered due to their nature. As a visual forgery prevention measure, there are known ones utilizing the density of halftone dots and those applying a moire pattern. Also known are those having a latent image pattern depending on the direction of the lines.

In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, in the area on the plate surface including at least the central portion of the corrugated white pattern print line corroded on the plate surface for intaglio printing, minute characters, symbols,
When the intaglio printing is performed on the code or the color pattern, etc., using the intaglio printing plate surface that has been corroded or engraved deeper than the corroded white pattern pattern line, it adheres to the inside of the white pattern pattern line. By applying wiping pressure to the extent that uneven printing ink can be wiped off non-uniformly, the density becomes continuously thin toward the center of the white print pattern, and moreover, it becomes minute at the center of the white print pattern. It is possible to obtain an intaglio printed material in which characters, symbols, codes, colored prints, etc. can be clearly recognized.

In the present invention, in the area on the plate surface including at least the central portion of the white print pattern image line corroded on the plate surface for intaglio printing, fine characters, symbols, codes or color patterns are added to the white print pattern. When the intaglio printing is performed using an intaglio printing plate surface that is deeply corroded or directly stamped, the intaglio ink adhering to the inside of the white print pattern image line should be wiped off unevenly. By applying a wiping pressure to such an extent that one section of the white-colored pattern drawing line has a larger area than the line of each individual minute character, symbol, code or colored pattern, The more the intaglio ink attached to the central part of the stipple pattern drawing line is wiped off, the more the intaglio ink attached to the boundary part of the white stipple pattern drawing line and the minute letters, symbols, codes or colors. An intaglio plate attached to the lines of a crest etc. As it is transferred to the substrate to be printed without being wiped off, the density decreases continuously toward the center of the white print pattern, and moreover, minute characters, symbols, and codes are placed in the center of the white print pattern. Alternatively, it is possible to obtain an intaglio printed matter in which a colored pattern or the like can be clearly recognized.

Further, by changing the size of a small character or the like to be incorporated, the character can be recognized even by a magnifying glass having a low magnification, so that it is possible for a general person to easily discriminate the authenticity.

As Example 1, a white crest pattern (1) as shown in FIG.
A few tens of μm after baking on a copper plate ( P ) coated with a resist (trade name, TPR: manufactured by Tokyo Ohka Kogyo Co., Ltd.)
Corrosion to some extent, and after the resist is applied thereon, a minute character (4) as shown in FIG. 2 is baked and developed only on the image area (2) of the pattern (1) to corrode about 10 μm. Then, minute characters (4) were formed in the image line (2).
After peeling off the resist film, after performing chrome plating, etc., intaglio printing is performed using this plate surface ( P ), and the wiping pressure for wiping is made higher than in the case of normal intaglio printing. Wiping was performed up to the bottom of the image area (2) of the color pattern (1). As a result, only the central portion (e) of the white color pattern (1) is wiped with ink to form a portion having almost no ink, and the minute characters (4) existing in this portion (e) are printed, which is very forgery. Special printed matter with high prevention property can be obtained.

In Example 2, the white pattern (1) as shown in FIG. 1 was baked on the resist-coated copper plate surface ( P ) and then corroded by several tens of μm to completely remove the resist. After peeling, the above-mentioned resist is applied to the entire surface again, and the minute characters (4) are baked or developed on the entire surface or partially, and corroded by several μm to several tens of μm as in the case of Example 1, and the entire surface or part is etched. Then, minute characters (4) were formed. After peeling off the resist film, after performing chrome plating, etc., intaglio printing is performed using this plate surface ( P ) and the wiping pressure of wiping is made higher than in the case of normal intaglio printing. Wiping was performed up to the bottom of the image area (2) of the color pattern (1). As a result, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 6 of the sectional view, the ink printed on the printing plate ( P ) was wiped only on the central portion (e) of the white pattern (1). Sculptures that have almost no ink on them, and minute characters (4) can be recognized with the naked eye only in the non-image area (3) of the white pattern (1) and the central area (e) of the image line (2). An intaglio print is obtained.

By the printing method of the present invention, the density can be changed so that the gradation is continuously reduced inside the intaglio printing line. Intaglio printing is not possible. Also, among the micro characters that are further corroded inside the image lines, the characters in the thin ink layer of the image lines are printed so that they can be clearly seen, and it seems that only the light ink parts of the image lines have micro characters. It is obtained as a printed matter that looks like, and by enlarging this image area,
It becomes possible to provide a printed matter that allows anyone to easily determine the authenticity.

It is extremely difficult to reproduce a printed matter having minute characters in this image line by another method, for example, a copying machine and photoengraving, and the printing method of the present invention prevents forgery of banknotes, passports, securities, etc. It is very effective as a countermeasure.
