本発明は、アレルギー性鼻炎の治療薬に関するものであ

長野県や中国河北省などで栽培されているマメ科（Legu
minosae）のクララ（Sophora angustifolia）の根を乾
燥した苦参には、ｄ−マトリン、ｄ−オキシマトリン、
ｄ−ソフォラノール、ｌ−アナギリン、ｌ−メチルシチ
シン、ｌ−バプチホリン、ｌ−ソフォカルピン等のアル
カロイドや、キサントフモール、イソキサントフモー
ル、3,4′,5−トリヒドロキシ−７−メトキシ−ｓ−イ
ソペンテニルフラボン、８−イソペンテニルケンペロー
ル等のフロボノイド類が含まれている。尚、茎と葉には
ルテオリン−７−グルコシドが含まれる。 そして、この苦参には次のような薬理作用があると言わ
れている。 1.利尿作用 苦参の煎剤及び苦参に含まれるマトリンをウサギに投与
もしくは注射すれば、利尿作用が現れる。 2.抗不整脈作用 総フラボンはクロロホルムの引き起こすマウス心室細動
に対抗し、クロロホルム−アドレナリンによるウサギの
不整脈に対応する。またアコニチンによるラットの不整
脈に対する治療作用もある。静脈注射するとラットの心
拍数を減らし、大量に用いると心電図のＰ−Ｒ期を延長
する。オキシマトリンもアドレナリンによる不整脈に有
効である。アルコール抽出物もジギタリス中毒からくる
ラットの不整脈に対し良好な対抗作用がある。 3.抗病原体作用 アルコール抽出エキスはin vitroで抗トリコモナス作用
をもち、その強度は黄連より弱く、蛇床子にほぼ等し
い。 4.その他の作用 マトリンをウサギに注射すると、中枢神経の麻痺がみら
れ、同時に痙攣を起こす。 そして、次のような治療に用いられると言われている。 1.細菌性痢疾の治療 内服法 50％の濃い煎剤を１回20〜30mlずつ、１日
３回服用する。あるいは苦参100gに水400mlを加え200ml
になるまで煎じ、１日２回に分けて服用し７〜10を１ク
ールとする。 注射法 50％の注射液２〜4mlを毎晩１回ずつ筋肉
注射する。 潅腸法 へそに貼る方法 2.急性胃腸炎の治療 煎じて１日２回服用する。又はシロップ剤を１回10〜15
mlずつ、１日２回服用する。 3.急性伝染性肝炎の治療 一時的な肝機能保全の治療のほかに、苦参の粉末4gをカ
プセルに詰めるか、あるいは丸剤にして１日４回に分け
て服用する。 4.小児肺炎の治療 200％の苦参注射液2mlを１日２回筋肉注射する。 5.急性扁桃炎などの治療 50％の苦参注射液を１回２〜3mlずつ、１日２回筋肉注
射して、急性扁桃炎、急性結膜炎、急性乳腺炎、歯周
炎、外科的感染と腎盂腎炎、急性気管炎、急性リンパ節
炎などの急性炎症性疾病を治療した例では、有効率90％
以上、治癒率74％以上であった。その他にも、大腸炎、
胆嚢炎、膀胱炎等の炎症に対してもかなりの効果があ
る。 6.慢性気管炎の治療 苦参７、桔梗３の割合で配合し、細かい粉末にし、水を
加えて丸剤にする。１日２回服用し、10日を１クールと
する。次のクールへ移るときには５日あいだをおく。 7.ランブル鞭毛虫症の治療 8.腸トリコモナスの治療 苦参の粉末のカプセルもしくは錠剤を服用する。 9.トリコモナス膣炎の治療 10.住血吸虫病による腹水の治療 ところで、上記のように各種の治療に苦参が用いられて
いるものの、これまで苦参がアレルギー性鼻炎の治療に

本発明者は、苦参を煎じたものを凍結乾燥し、このもの
を例えば0.5〜５％の溶液にした点鼻剤をアレルギー性
鼻炎の患者の鼻腔に滴下した所、鼻閉、くしゃみ、鼻汁
の抑制に効果があることを見出すに至った。 すなわち、アレルギー性鼻炎に対して１〜４週間の投与
により、軽快、改善が認められたのである。鼻閉につい
ては即効を呈することもあった。 本発明は上記の知見を基にして達成されたものであり、
苦参の抽出物を含むことを特徴とするアレルギー性鼻炎
薬を提供するものである。 尚、このアレルギー性鼻炎薬は、点鼻剤タイプあるいは
軟膏剤タイプのような如何なるタイプのものとしても良
