選択的に反転する反転機構を備える紙葉類処理装置にお
いて、 前記鑑別部から搬出される紙葉類をその面向きのまま搬
送する第1の搬送路と、 この第1の搬送路の途中に設けられ前記鑑別部による紙
葉類の第1の面及び第2の面の鑑別結果に基づき紙葉類
を第1の面向き紙葉類と第2の面向き紙葉類に区分けす
る区分手段と、 この区分手段により前記第1の搬送路から区分けされた
紙葉類の搬送方向を反転させるための紙葉類搬送方向反
転手段と、 前記区分手段で区分けされた紙葉類を前記紙葉類搬送方
向反転手段に搬送する第2の搬送路と、 紙葉類を前記紙葉類搬送方向反転手段から前記第1の搬
送路との合流部まで搬送する第3の搬送路と、 紙葉類を第2の搬送路から紙葉類搬送方向反転手段に案
内し、かつ紙葉類搬送方向反転手段から第3の搬送路へ
の案内を兼ねた複数の紙葉類押付部材付案内手段と、 紙葉類搬送方向反転手段により反転した紙葉類を挟持し
て第3の搬送路へ送り出すための複数の回転体対を備
え、 前記紙葉類押付部材付案内手段は前記複数の回転体対の
第2搬送路側の回転体と同軸に且つ少なくとも紙葉類の
搬送方向の側部をわん曲するように複数の回転体対の第
2搬送路側の回転体の両端側に位置するものの外側に離
して備え、 前記紙葉類搬送方向反転手段は、搬入される紙葉類の進
入を一定位置に停止する進入停止部材と、 一端を該進入停止部材に取付け他端側は前記第2の搬送
路側に折れ曲がって延伸し第2の搬送路から紙葉類搬送
方向反転手段に搬入する紙葉類の搬入をガイドする搬入
ガイド部材と、 前記搬入ガイド部材と間隔をもって略平行な部分を有し
その平行部の端を進入停止部材に取付け他端側は前記第
3の搬送路側に折れ曲がって延伸し第3の搬送路側に搬
出する紙葉類をガイドする搬出ガイド部材とを備え、 前記搬入ガイド部材の第2の搬送路側の端部は前記紙葉
類押付部材付案内手段により紙葉類が変形力を受ける位
置より第1の搬送路側に、搬出ガイド部材の第3の搬送
路側の端部は前記紙葉類押付部材付案内手段により紙葉
類が変形力を受ける位置より第3の搬送路側に夫々延伸
し、かつ前記紙葉類押付部材付案内手段に対し、この紙
葉類押付部材付案内手段によりわん曲するように変形さ
れた紙葉類が当接しその変形を抑制される距離に設ける
ことを特徴とする紙葉類処理装置。1.
