Abstract

PURPOSE:To expand a detecting area and to detect flames over a wide range by arranging plural detecting tubes so that the directions of detecting areas of plural detecting tubes are different from each other. CONSTITUTION:Two detecting tubes 2 for detecting ultraviolet rays or infrared rays radiated from flames are arranged on the outer surface of a housing 1a. The tubes 2 are electrically connected to a processing circuit base built in the housing 1a. The detecting area of one detecting tube 2 is approximately conical and has about 110 deg. angle of visual field. The two tubes 2 are arranged so that the detecting area of one tube 2 is overlapped on that of the other tube 2 by 20 deg. angle of visual field. The pointing direction of respective tubes 2 are set to be 90 deg. apart from each other. Thereby >=180 deg. angle of visual field can be continuously secured as the detecting area of a flame sensor 1.

2. Description of the Related Art FIG. 6 is a side sectional view showing a conventional example of a flame detector. As shown in FIG. 6, the flame detector 1 includes a detection tube 2 that detects weak ultraviolet rays or infrared rays emitted from a flame, and a processing circuit board 4 that outputs a fire signal according to the detection level of the detection tube 2. And are built in the housing 1a. The detection tube 2 is exposed through a detection hole provided in the housing 1a, and the flame is detected through the detection hole. As shown in FIGS. 6 and 9, the detection region 10 of the detection tube 2 has a substantially conical shape,
The viewing angle is 0 °. Therefore, the range of the conical detection area 10 can be monitored by one flame detector 1.

7 and 8 are views showing a state in which the flame detector 1 having the above-mentioned structure is installed. When the flame detector 1 having the above structure is used to monitor a monitoring place 20 such as a tunnel or a corridor which is very long only in a specific direction as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, conventionally, for example, as shown in FIG. , A plurality of the flame detectors 1 are installed obliquely with respect to the ceiling surface 20a of the monitoring place 20 so as to obtain a long detection area in the specific direction, or, as shown in FIG. The flame detector 1 is horizontally installed on the ceiling surface 20a with an appropriate interval. In the case of installation as shown in FIG. 7, assuming that the maximum detectable distance of the flame detector 1 with respect to the specific direction is L, the plurality of flame detectors 1 may be installed at intervals of the maximum detectable distance L. If the plurality of flame detectors 1 are installed at intervals slightly shorter than the maximum detectable distance L, the detection areas overlap each other and the non-detection area can be reduced. In addition, 20b is a floor surface.

FIG. 5 is a view showing a state in which the flame detector 1 of the embodiment of the present invention having the above-mentioned structure is installed. When the flame detector 1 of the embodiment of the present invention having the above-mentioned configuration is used to monitor a monitoring place 20 such as a tunnel or a corridor that is very long only in a specific direction, a plurality of flame detectors 1 may be appropriately used as in the conventional case. If it is installed horizontally on the ceiling surface 20a of the monitoring place 20 at intervals of, most places can be monitored. However, as shown in FIG. 5, the flame detector 1 of the present embodiment has the detection region on both sides of the flame detector 1 as a center, and the detection region 10 of the flame detector 1 of the embodiment of the present invention is the same as the conventional one. Detection area 10 of example flame detector 1
