Description
【0001】[0001]
The present invention relates to improvement of information recording media such as optical disks and optical cards.
【0002】[0002]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, this type of recording medium has a light-transmitting property such as polycarbonate, polymethylmethacrylate and epoxy as represented by a compact disc (hereinafter referred to as CD), a video disc and a CD-ROM shown in FIG. An uneven pit 20 is formed on the disk substrate 21 according to the recorded information, and a reflective film 22 such as aluminum and gold is formed on the surface of the substrate on which the pit 20 is formed. By irradiating a laser beam, the recorded information was reproduced by the change in the total reflected light amount.
Further, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 63-269356, 63-279449, 63-306535, IDs such as rotational speed information and address information are provided on a disc substrate having a light transmitting property of a recording medium. An ID track (land portion) in which information is formed in advance by uneven pits and a data track (groove portion) are formed adjacent to the ID track, and an amorphous alloy of a rare earth-transition metal is formed on the surface of the substrate. A magnetic film (magneto-optical recording film) consisting of a film formed by sputtering or vapor deposition. Further, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1-144252, 2-91841, for the purpose of further increasing the storage capacity, a 1/4 wavelength depth like a CD, a video disk, a CD-ROM, etc. The ROM film is formed by the pits, and the reflective film and recording film of the optically transparent disk substrate is composed of a magnetic film made of an amorphous alloy of rare earth-transition metal, and RAM information recorded by the user is magneto-optical. Writing is performed on the recording film (magnetic film), ROM information is reproduced as a change in the total reflected light amount as in a CD player, and RAM information is displayed as a plane of polarization of reflected light due to the Kerr effect as in a magneto-optical disk player. It is considered that the car rotation angle is detected and reproduced.
【0004】[0004]
The above-mentioned recording medium reads the recorded information by converting the reflected light from the concave and convex pits into an electric signal. Therefore, since the reading is performed using light, there is a case where the reading of recorded information becomes impossible when the light is incident and the reflection surface side is greatly scratched or dust is attached.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an information recording medium capable of reading recorded information even if large scratches and dust are attached to the substrate surface.
【0006】[0006]
Therefore, in order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides an optically transparent substrate, a plurality of pits formed on one surface of the substrate according to recorded information, and magnetic permeability embedded in the pits. A high ferromagnetic material and a protective film formed on the surface of this ferromagnetic material are provided.
Further, the substrate is formed in a disc shape or a card shape.
【0008】[0008]
The information recording medium having the above-described structure is rotationally activated, and at the same time, a weak magnetic field of several hundreds of elds is applied to magnetize the ferromagnetic material having a high magnetic permeability. If a pickup needle (magnetic head) with a coil wound around this magnetized portion is run, information encoded depending on the presence or absence of this magnetization can be taken out as an electric signal.
【0009】[0009]
Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an essential part of the information recording medium of the present invention, which is made of a disc-shaped polycarbonate of optical disc type, plastic such as polymethylmethacrylate, epoxy, or glass or light-transmissive material such as stone. A pit 12 of information conforming to the Red Book is formed on the round surface 11 of the non-magnetic plate (substrate) 10, and a ferromagnetic material 13 having a high magnetic permeability is embedded in the pit 12, and the pit-shaped high magnetic permeability is formed. It has a structure in which a non-magnetic substance 14 that is hard to oxidize so that the ferromagnetic substance 13 is hard to oxidize is used as a protective film and is formed by vapor deposition or sputtering of several tens to several microns. As the ferromagnetic material 13 having a high magnetic permeability, iron, cobalt, nickel, sendust and the like having a high purity are suitable. As the non-magnetic substance (protective film) 14 that is difficult to oxidize, artificial diamond, silicon nitride, silicon oxide, etc. are suitable. Needless to say, the substrate 10 may be formed in a card shape other than the disk shape.
