(10) is a character input screen for detecting the position coordinates of the points pressed by the writing pen (11).
In the transparent tablet of (1), conductive resistance paint is applied, and conductive upper electrodes (12) and lower electrodes (13) are provided at both ends. Two transparent tablets 10 are arranged in parallel, and the position coordinates (x, y) of the point P pressed by the writing pen 11 are calculated as follows. That is, in order to obtain the X coordinate x, a voltage of E volt is applied between both upper electrodes so that the upper electrode voltage (14) becomes E volt. Top transparent tablet (10) and bottom transparent tablet (10)
Since there is electrical contact with point P, the lower electrode voltage
It can be calculated by the following equation by measuring the potential V of (15). x = (V × L) / E Here, in the case of L: total length in the x direction, Y coordinate can be calculated in the same manner as the X coordinate. As a result, the coordinates of the pressed point can be calculated using the transparent tablet (10) of FIG. 5, so the character input screen (1)
It is possible to identify which of the above buttons has been pressed and information such as that writing is in progress.

In the handwritten information input device configured as described above, a writing pen is used when an input person writes characters.
By pressing the writing button (3) of the character input screen (1) by (11), the character input frame (2) is displayed through the action of the control means (8). Then, in the character input frame (2), a handwriting guide line
(6) is displayed, and the input person can easily write characters in the character input frame (2) along the handwriting guide line (6).

The handwriting guide line (6) has a ruled line shape and functions in the same manner as the ruled line of a normal writing book. That is, when writing continuously, it is easier to write if there is some guide line, even if it is written in an empty place in the character input frame (2), and the handwriting guide line (6) will guide you when writing. Play the role of a line. Further, the inputter may write one character at a time along the handwriting guide line (6) in the character input frame (2), and if there is a space between the characters, there is no influence on the recognition operation. Then, when a character is written and the recognition button (4) is pressed, the characters written up to that point are recognized and displayed. Then
When the write button (3) is pressed, the character is written at the cursor position. The edit button (5) is used for various operations performed on recognized and printed characters, such as "convert characters written in hiragana to kanji", "delete characters", and "select candidate characters when misrecognized". , "Cancel last operation" and so on.

When a large number of characters are continuously input, the layout changing means (7) is used to set the size of the character input frame (2),
Change the number of handwriting guide lines (6), etc., and enter the character input screen (1)
The configuration will be changed, but the operation at the time of change will be described below. That is, when the layout changing means (7) is pressed, the screen shown in FIG. 3 is displayed. In Figure 3, change cursor (17)
Indicates that the character input box (2) is in the smallest state. The change cursor (18) indicates that only one handwriting guide line (6) exists in the character input frame (2). Then, for example, as shown in FIG. 4, while pushing the changing cursor (17) with the writing pen (11), the cursor is moved to the “large” side on the right side of FIG. 4, and the changing cursor (18) is moved. After pushing the writing pen (11) and moving it to "4" on the right side of FIG. 4, the layout change end button (19) is pushed. By this, the control means
The character input screen (1) is changed via (8) as shown in FIG. 2, the character input frame (2) is enlarged, and the number of handwriting guide lines (6) becomes four. By such an operation, it is possible to change the interval between the handwriting guide lines (6), the size of the character input frame (2), the number of handwriting guide lines (6), and to arrange them optimally for the sense of use of the input person. In addition, the size of the character input frame (2), the handwriting guide line (6), and the like can be laid out in correspondence with the required number of characters to be entered continuously.

That is, an input person who writes small characters can input a large number of characters with the same size of the character input frame (2) by setting the interval of the handwriting guide line (6) narrow. .. In this way, the size of the character input frame (2), the handwriting guide line (6), etc. can be freely laid out according to the feeling of use when the input person writes characters.
Can be easily entered. Further, the size of the character input frame (2) and the number of handwriting guide lines (6) can be set in advance as needed, and a large number of characters can be continuously written at one time.

Example 2. 6 and 7 are views showing another embodiment of the present invention, in which the same reference numerals as those in FIGS. 1 to 5 designate corresponding parts. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the layout changing means (7) is pressed to change the interval between the handwriting guide lines (6), and then the changing cursor (17) is moved. However, in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, one of the four handwriting guide lines (6) shown in FIG. 6 is pressed with the writing pen (11) as shown in FIG. Move above 6.
As a result, another handwriting guide line (6) appears and the interval becomes narrower, resulting in the layout of the character input screen (1) shown in FIG.

Embodiment 3. 8 and 9 are views showing another embodiment of the present invention, in which the same reference numerals as those in FIGS. 1 to 5 denote corresponding parts. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the layout changing means (7) is pushed to change the interval between the handwriting guide lines (6), and then the changing cursor (17) is moved. However, in the embodiments of FIGS. 8 and 9, the handwriting guide lines (6) are set in a grid pattern. Then, as shown in FIG. 8, the intersection of the grid of FIG. 8 is moved to the upper left of FIG. 8 while being pressed by the writing pen (11). As a result, as shown in FIG. 9, the size of the grid is reduced and the number of grids is increased, resulting in the layout of the character input screen (1) shown in FIG.
