Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent odor of indoor air from adhering to a heat exchanger by providing a hollow pipe on the upper part of the heat exchanger, said hollow pipe including a hole made therethrough for distributing a cleaning solution longitudinally of the heat exchanger, and distributing the cleaning solution from a heat exchanger cleaning solution tank to the heat exchanger through a solenoid valve pump. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a heat exchanger cleaning solution tank 11 in an indoor unit body 1, to which tank a heat exchanger cleaning solution 10 is replenished from the outside of the body 1, and is further provided a hollow pipe 12 on the upper part of a heat exchanger 2, said hollow pipe 12 including a hole through which the cleaning solution 11 is distributed longitudinally thereof. One end of the hollow pipe 12 is sealed while the other end of the same is coupled with the heat exchanger cleaning solution tank 11 through a solenoid valve pump 17. Once the cleaning solution 10 is dropped from the hole 13 onto the heat exchanger 2, the cleaning solution 10 makes contact with odor matter adhering to the heat exchanger 2 and separates the same whereby the odor matter is recovered onto a drain pan 9 together with the cleaning solution. Thus, the odor of the indoor air is prevented from adhering to the heat exchanger.

Next, the operation will be described. When deodorizing conditioned air, the deodorant 10 contained in the spray container 14 is poured from the deodorant injection port 13 into the injection tank 11 in the indoor unit 1 and is connected to the water injection tank 11. The impregnation body 16 is made to absorb the deodorant 10. Next, when the blower fan 3 is driven, the room air is sucked in through the suction port 6, passes through the heat exchanger 2, and is again discharged into the room through the suction port 8. At this time, since the impregnated body 16 that has sucked the deodorant 10 is fixed to the heat exchanger 2, the indoor air sucked through the suction port 6 is deodorized contained in the impregnated body 16. Contact with agent 10 and receive deodorant effect. For this reason,
The indoor air is deodorized and becomes clean air.

Next, the operation will be described. Normal heating
In the cooling operation, first, the fan motor 4 is driven and the fan 3 is rotated to suck the indoor air from the suction port 6 through the heat exchanger 2, and during this time, heat exchange is performed to generate conditioned air, Blow out into the room from the outlet 8. At this time, the odorous substance in the room is also sucked in through the suction port 6 together with the indoor air, and the odorous substance adheres to the heat exchanger 2 in the ventilation passage. If the heating / cooling operation is continued in this state, odorous substances accumulate on the heat exchanger 2 and the heat exchanger becomes a source of odor generation. Therefore, the operation is stopped once and the deodorizing operation is performed.
First, the cleaning liquid 10 contained in the heat exchanger cleaning liquid replenishing spray 14 is poured into the cleaning liquid tank 11 in the indoor unit 1. Next, the electromagnetic valve pump 17 is energized to move the cleaning liquid 10 to the hollow pipe 12 connected to the electromagnetic valve pump 17. The hollow pipe 12 has a hole 13 in a part thereof.
Since it has been opened from the
Drops on the heat exchanger 2. The cleaning liquid 10 dropped on the heat exchanger 2 comes into contact with the odorous substances attached to the heat exchanger 2,
It is separated and collected on the drain pan 9 together with the cleaning liquid 10.

Embodiment 2. Hereinafter, another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 4, reference numeral 1 denotes an indoor unit of an air conditioner, in which a heat exchanger 2, a blower fan 3, and a fan motor 4 are housed. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view, and the front panel 5 facing the heat exchanger 2 includes:
A suction port 6 is provided with a deflection plate 7 at the lower part thereof, and a blow-out port 8 is provided.
But each is open. Further, a drain pan 9 is arranged below the heat exchanger 2. Also heat exchanger 2
Above the above, there is a hollow pipe 12, and a hole 13 for spraying the heat exchanger cleaning liquid is opened in a part in the lengthwise direction thereof, and both ends thereof are sealed. Further, a through hole 15 is opened between the indoor unit 1 and the hollow pipe 12 so that the heat exchanger cleaning liquid replenishing spray 14 can be inserted.
