Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は縦型とロー包装機に用いられる横熱封止部材の
駆動装置に関する。
(従来技術) 包装帯材を充填筒の成形肩の部分で筒状に成形しで重ね
合った縦の線を溶着するとともに、筒状に形成されたこ
の包装祠の引出し過程において充填筒の出口端下方に配
設した一対の横熱封止部材により底部継目を形成しでゆ
く縦型ピロー包装機は、包装材の成形と包装材内への充
填とを連続的に行うことかできる点て作業性に優れた装
置とされている。
特に特開昭62−235006号公報に開示された装置
は、この種の包装機において底部継目を形成する横熱封
止部材を包装材の引出し方向に直線的に走行させながら
全加熱面を包装材に接触させるようにしたものであって
、熱封サイクルを短縮した場合においても熱封に必要な
十分な時間をとることかできる上で優れでいる。
しかしなからこの装置は、横熱封止部材を直線的に走行
させる手段として、回転体の先端tこ保持した熱封止部
材を0字形の案内溝により誘導する構造を採っているた
め、熱封サイクルを短縮すべく回転体の回転速度を高め
た場合には、これに伴って増大する慣性力により、特に
案内溝の変曲点部分て熱封止部材に無理な力か加わって
正確な追従動作を行わせ得なくなるといった不都合か発
生し、さらには、案内部分によって熱封止部材の軌跡が
決められてしまうため、充填物の如何によっては必要と
される筒形包装材に対するしこき動作や、熱封止要処理
時間を決定する直線走行長さの変更調節等か行い得ない
といった問題を有している。
(発明が解決しようとする課題) 本発明はこのような問題に鑑みてなされたもので、その
目的とするところは、包装材自体あるいは充填物の如何
に対応させて横熱封止部材を適切に導くことのできる新
たな装置を提供することにある。
(課題を解決するための手段) すなわち、本発明はかかる課題を達成するための縦型ピ
ロー包装機における横熱封止部材の駆動装置としで、包
装機の充填筒下方に、包装材の移送経路を挟むようにし
て対向する一対の横熱封止部材と、駆動手段に接続して
横熱封止部材を互いに逆方向に旋回動させる駆動力伝達
手段を配設するとともに、この駆動力伝達手段の一部に
、この駆動力伝達手段に作用しで各横熱封止部材に包装
材の移送経路に沿う直線走行を行わせるような軌跡形成
手段を介装させるようにしたものである。
(作用) このように構成したことにより、駆動力伝達手段に軌跡
形成手段を作用させることによって横熱封止部材に直線
部分を含む旋回運動を行わせるようにし、横熱封止部材
を高速で旋回動させた場合でも、これらに無理な力を作
用させることなく所要のD字形旋回動を円滑に行わせる
(実施例) そこで、以下に図示した実施例についで説明する。
第1図は本発明の一実施例をなす横熱封止部材の駆動機
構を一方のみ示したものである。
図において符号1は横熱封止部材つまり横シルジョーを
包装材に沿わせて直線運動させるためのカムで、このカ
ム1は駆動軸2とともに一体的に回転するようその軸端
に固定されている。3は軸間距離を変えても回転角のず
れや伝達トルクの変動を生じさせることなく駆動軸の回
転を被動軸に伝達することのできる周知のシュミットカ
ップリングで、このシュミットカップリング3は、図示
しないリンクに結合された3枚の円板3a、3b、3c
によって構成され、その第1の円板3aは駆動軸2に結
合し、第3の円板3Cは後述するシールジョー旋回軸5
に結合されている。
方上記したシールジョー旋回軸5には、案内転置6.6
上をスライドするブラケット7が軸受を介して取付けら
れ、その他側面に軸支したカムフォロワ8は上記したカ
ム1の周面上を転動して、シールジョー旋回軸5を包装
材Wの搬送経路に対して接近離間させるように構成され
ている。
他方、このシールジョー旋回軸5には旋回アーム1oか
一体的に取付けられ、またこのアーム10の先端に軸支
した遊星歯車12はアイドラ13を介してブラケット7
上に固定した同径の固定歯車14と噛合って、遊星歯車
]2に固定したシールジョー16の加熱面16aを常に
包装材Wに向けて水平に旋回動させるように構成されで
いる。
このように構成された装置において、いま駆動軸2に駆
動されてカム1が回転すると、このカム1の周面に接し
て転勤するカムフォロワ8はブラケット7を介してシー
ルジョー転動軸5を包装材Wの搬送経路に対して直角な
向きに変位させ、他方シュミットカップリング3は駆動
軸2の回転をシールジョー旋回軸5に1=1の関係で伝
達し、ざらにこの転動軸5に固定したアーム10を旋回
軸5を中心として回転させる。
このため、このアーム10の先端に遊星歯車12を介し
で取付けられたシールジョー16は、遊星歯車12がア
イドラ]3を介してブラケット7上の固定歯車14と噛
合い関係を保っでいる関係上、加熱面16a%常時包装
材Wに向けた水平姿勢を保ちつつカム1の形状に応して
図中2点鎖線で示したように熱封領域△において直線軌
跡を採るようなほぼD字状の軌道を画いて旋回動する。
もとより、このシールジョー16は包装材Wの搬送経路
を挟んでその列側にも配設されており、筒状に形成され
た包装材Wの必要部分は、これら対のシールショー]6
か直線運動をする過程で定の封止か行われる。
第2図は、対をなすシールジョーに所要のD字状軌跡を
画かせる別の実施例を示したもので、サーボモータに接
続し1とスプライン軸21aには、一方のギヤボックス
22R内に配設された第1のへヘルキセ24aかこれと
噛合う第2のへヘルキセ24bを介してシールジョー旋
回軸25Rに回転駆動力を伝達するとともに、第2のへ
ヘルキャ24bと噛合う第3のへヘルキャ24. cか
これと一体のスリーブ軸23cに摺動自在に結合した第
2のスプライン軸21bを介して、他方のキャボ・ンク
ス22.内に配設した第1のへヘルキセ26aを駆動し
、これと噛合う第2のへヘルキセ26bと一体をなすシ
ールジョー旋回軸25.に回転駆動力を伝達するように
構成されている。
これらの対をなすシールジョー旋回軸25R125、−
には、フレーム上に軸支されたカムフォロワ28.28
に接触しで転動するカム27R127、か固定されてい
で、各シールジョー旋回軸25R1251は、その回転
とともにこれらのカム27R127,により第3図に示
したように、シルジョー261I、26.に対してそれ
ぞれD字状の回転軌跡を画かせるように構成されている
ところで以上の実施例は、筒状包装材Wに対する横熱封
用として構成したものであって、例えばボテトチ・ンブ
スのようなカサ密度の小さな商品を充填する場合には、
横封止に先立って筒状包装材Wに゛しこき′を加えて封
止部に物品が噛み込まないようにする必要かあるか、こ
のような場合には、これらのカム]、27を取替えてシ
ールジョー26R126,にそれらの動作をするのに適
したような軌跡を画かせるようにする。
第4図はしこき動作と封止動作を同時に行わせ得るよう
にした本発明の他の実施例に関するものである。
対のシールジョー旋回軸35R,35Lは、第2の実施
例と同様に、スプライン軸31a、31bに摺動自在に
結合された各キャボックス321I、32.内のへヘル
キセを介して軸方向に移動自在に、かつシールジョー駆
動用のサーボモタに駆動されて回転するように取付けら
れている。これらの旋回軸35R,35Lは、共通のピ
オン34と噛合うラック杆3711,37Lを介して互
いに結合され、さらに一方のラック杆376には、旋回
軌跡設定用のサーボモータ39のビニオン38か噛合っ
ていて、2本の旋回軸35 R235Lは、このサーボ
モータ39に駆動されて互いに離間、接近か可能なよう
に構成されている。
この実施例では、シールジョー駆動用のサーボモータに
同期させて予め設定したプログラムにより旋回軌跡設定
用のサーボモータ39を正転、逆転勤させることにより
、第5図に示したように、包装材Wの搬送経路に治う上
手側はしごき領域Bとして、各シールジョー36R,3
6Lの先端に若干の間隙6を形成するようにして直線状
に走行させ、また搬送経路に治う下手側は封止領域へと
しで、両シールジョー36R136,の先端をさらに接
近させて直線状に走行させるような回転軌跡を形成する
またさらにこの実施例では、しごき領域Bにおいてシー
ルジョー3611,36Lの直線走行速度VCBが包装
材Wの搬送速度V、より大となるように、また封止領域
Aにおいてはシールジョーの直線走行速度VCAか包装
材の搬送速度V5と等しくなるようにシールジョー駆動
用サーボモータの回転速度を適宜に制御することかでき
る。
また、第6図に示した実施例は、キサボックス42II
、42L内にあって共通の駆動軸41に結合したキヤと
、シュミットカップリング43R143、とによってシ
ールジョー旋回軸45 R145、に回転駆動力を伝達
するよう構成する方、旋回軌跡設定用のサーボモータ4
9により対のアーム47 R147,を接近離間可能と
なし1 。
て、これらのアーム47R,47Lに結合した2本の共
軸ロッド48R148,によりシールジョー旋回転45
R,45Lに所定のしごき走行軌跡と封止走行軌跡を画
かせるように構成しjとものである。
(効果) 以上述べたように本発明によれば、横熱封止手段を互い
に逆方向に旋回させる駆動力伝達手段の部に、この手段
に作用して横熱封止部材に包装材の移送経路に沿うよう
な直線走行を行わせる軌跡設定手段を設け、駆動力伝達
手段によっで熱封止部材に直線部分を含む旋回運動を行
わすようにしたので、熱封止部材を高速で旋回動させた
場合においでも、これらに無理な力を作用させることな
く所要のD字形旋回動を円滑に行わすことかできるとと
もに、軌跡設定手段の設定如何によっては、熱封止部材
にしこぎ作用等の運動機能をも必要に応しで付与させる
ことができる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1.  熱可塑性帯状包装材を筒状に成形し、ついで横方向の
    熱封止を施して内部に充填物を充填する縦型ピロー包装
    機において、該包装機の充填筒下方に、上記包装材の移
    送経路を挟むようにして対向する一対の横熱封止部材と
    、駆動手段に接続して該横熱封止部材を互いに逆方向に
    旋回動させる駆動力伝達手段を配設するとともに、該駆
    動力伝達手段の一部に、該駆動力伝達手段に作用して上
    記各横熱封止部材に上記包装材の移送経路に沿う直線走
    行を行わせる軌跡形成手段を介装させたことを特徴とす
    る縦型ピロー包装機における横熱封止部材の駆動装置。
