Description

The present invention relates to a mascara cosmetic product that is not stringy.

Mascara cosmetics can provide a cosmetic effect that makes the eyes stand out, and various ingredient combinations are being explored to achieve various effects, such as curling eyelashes, adding volume, and making eyelashes thicker and longer.

For example, Patent Documents 1 to 4 describe mascara cosmetics that make eyelashes appear longer by blending oil-soluble resins and fibers. Patent Document 5 also describes a water-in-oil eyelash cosmetic blended with candelilla resin and highly polymerized polyethylene glycol, which maintains the thread-forming effect of highly polymerized polyethylene glycol on the eyelashes thanks to the candelilla resin, thereby achieving a long-lash effect while maintaining waterproof properties.

Patent Document 6 also describes that by combining a silicone-modified polysaccharide compound with an acrylic-silicone graft copolymer, it is possible to impart good threadability to a cosmetic composition, improving the sense of volume when applied to the eyelashes. Furthermore, Patent Document 7 describes that a mascara cosmetic containing a dextrin fatty acid ester, an organically modified clay mineral, multiple types of fibers of different lengths, and a silicone-modified polysaccharide compound has an excellent effect of making the eyelashes appear longer (lengthening effect) and has good liquid adhesion.

To make eyelashes appear longer, it is not enough to simply incorporate long fibers into a mascara; the incorporated long fibers must also adhere securely to the eyelashes. The silicone-modified polysaccharide compound described in Patent Document 7 is a compound that has the effect of improving adhesion to the eyelashes, and it is thought that incorporating long fibers improves adhesion to the eyelashes. However, silicone-modified polysaccharide compounds are also stringy compounds. While stringy mascaras have the effect of making the eyelashes appear longer and more beautiful, they can also create threads that can soil the mascara container and surrounding area during use, and can make application to the eyelashes difficult. Therefore, there is a demand for non-stringy mascaras as an option when purchasing products.

After extensive research, the inventors discovered that by combining tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan, a particularly useful silicone-modified polysaccharide compound, with a specific resin, it is possible to reliably attach long fibers to eyelashes despite the lack of stringiness, leading to the completion of the present invention.

In other words, the present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances, and aims to provide a mascara cosmetic that is easy to use because it is not stringy, that can make eyelashes appear longer despite not being stringy, and that also has an excellent curling effect.

The mascara cosmetic of the present invention comprises:
(A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan;
(B) polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or polypropylsilsesquioxane;
(C) Fiber.

(A) It is preferable that the amount of tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan is less than 3% by mass of the total amount of the cosmetic.

The total amount of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan and (B) polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or polypropylsilsesquioxane is preferably 0.5 to 15% by mass of the total amount of the cosmetic.

It is preferable that the mass ratio of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan to (B) polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or polypropylsilsesquioxane is 0.01 to 3.

(C) The length of the fibers is 2 to 4 mm, and it is preferable that the fibers having a length of 3 mm or more account for 50 mass% or more of the total amount of fibers.

It is preferable that the mascara cosmetic of the present invention further contains (D) trimethylsiloxysilicate.

It is preferable that the total amount of coating agent relative to the total amount of cosmetic is 2.5% by mass or more.

The mascara cosmetic of the present invention comprises:
(A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan;
(B) polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or polypropylsilsesquioxane;
(C) The composition contains fiber and is easy to handle because it is not stringy. Despite the lack of stringiness, the composition can make eyelashes appear longer and can also provide a good curling effect.

The mascara cosmetic of the present invention comprises:
(A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan;
(B) polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or polypropylsilsesquioxane;
(C) Fiber.
Each component will be described below. Note that, hereinafter, each component may be simply referred to as component (A), component (B), etc.
In this specification, PEG is an abbreviation for polyethylene glycol, and BG is an abbreviation for butylene glycol.

(A) Tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan The (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan contained in the mascara cosmetic of the present invention may be one produced by a known production method (for example, JP-A-10-29910).
Commercially available products include, for example, TSPL-30-ID (tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan, manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 30% isododecane solution) and TSPL-30-D5 (tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan, manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 30% decamethylcyclopentasiloxane solution).

The blending amount of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan is preferably 0.03 to less than 3% by mass, more preferably 0.1 to 2.8% by mass, and even more preferably 0.15 to 2.4% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. A blending amount of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan of 0.03% by mass or more makes it easier for the cosmetic to entangle with the eyelashes, while a blending amount of less than 3% by mass further suppresses stringiness, resulting in a mascara cosmetic with good workability.

(B) Polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or Polypropylsilsesquioxane The mascara cosmetic of the present invention contains (B) polymethylsilsesquioxane and/or polypropylsilsesquioxane. Either polymethylsilsesquioxane or polypropylsilsesquioxane may be used as component (B), or both may be used.

Polymethylsilsesquioxane and polypropylsilsesquioxane have a structure consisting of R ¹ SiO _1.5 units and R ² SiO _0.5 units (wherein R ¹ and R ² represent substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon groups).
A commercially available product of polymethylsilsesquioxane is SILFORM FLEXIBLE RESIN (manufactured by Momentive Performance Materials Japan, Inc.), and a commercially available product of polypropylsilsesquioxane is DOWSIL ^™ 670 Fluid (manufactured by Dow Corning Toray Co., Ltd., a 50% polypropylsilsesquioxane cyclopentasiloxane solution).

The blending amount of component (B) is preferably 0.1 to 12% by mass of the total cosmetic, more preferably 0.5 to 11% by mass, and even more preferably 0.8 to 10.5% by mass. A blending amount of component (B) of 0.1% by mass or more makes the eyelashes appear longer (lengthening effect), while a blending amount of component (B) of 12% by mass or less not only allows the fibers to adhere more neatly, but also results in a mascara cosmetic that is not sticky after drying and has good makeup wear.

The combined amount of (A) pullulan tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate and component (B) is preferably 0.5 to 15% by mass, more preferably 1.0 to 13.5% by mass, and even more preferably 1.3 to 12.4% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. Having a combined amount of (A) pullulan tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate and component (B) of 0.5% by mass or more based on the total amount of the cosmetic makes it easier for the cosmetic to entangle the eyelashes and improves the curling effect, while having a combined amount of 15% by mass or less results in a mascara cosmetic that is smooth to the touch and has reduced stringiness, making it easy to use.

The mass ratio of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan to (B) component is preferably 0.01 to 3, more preferably 0.05 to 2, and even more preferably 0.1 to 1. When the mass ratio of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan to (B) component is 0.01 or more, the cosmetic can be more easily entangled with the eyelashes and the curling effect can be improved, and when it is 3 or less, stringiness can be further suppressed, resulting in a mascara cosmetic with good workability.

(C) Fibers Examples of fibers used in the mascara cosmetic of the present invention include various conventionally known fibers, such as synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester, man-made fibers such as rayon, natural fibers such as cellulose, and semi-synthetic fibers such as acetate rayon.

The fiber can also be subjected to various surface treatments. Examples of water-repellent surface treatments include organosiloxane treatments such as methylhydrogenpolysiloxane treatment, silicone resin treatment, silicone gum treatment, acrylic silicone treatment, and fluorinated silicone treatment, metal soap treatments such as zinc stearate treatment, silane coupling agent treatment, silane treatment such as alkylsilane treatment, fluorine compound treatments such as organic titanate treatment, organic aluminate treatment, perfluoroalkylsilane, perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester salt, and perfluoropolyether treatment, amino acid treatments such as N-lauroyl-L-lysine treatment, oil treatments such as squalane treatment, and acrylic treatments such as alkyl acrylate treatment, and these can be used in combination of one or more.
Examples of hydrophilic surface treatments include agar treatment, deoxyribonucleic acid treatment, lecithin treatment, polyacrylic acid treatment, silica treatment, alumina treatment, and zirconia treatment.

The fiber length is preferably in the range of 2 to 4 mm, and the total fiber content preferably includes fibers 3 mm or longer at 50% by mass or more. The inclusion of such fibers makes eyelashes appear longer. Because the mascara cosmetic of the present invention contains (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamate pullulan and component (B), the incorporated long fibers can be reliably attached to the eyelashes, and fiber fall-off over time is suppressed, making eyelashes appear longer.

Examples of fibers that can be used in the present invention include NFCB-10D-2R (nylon fiber 2 mm, manufactured by Daito Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), NFCB-17D-3R (nylon fiber 3 mm, manufactured by Daito Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), Black Fiber R (3 mm/19T) (manufactured by Daito Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), and Black Fiber R (4 mm/11T) (manufactured by Daito Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), and these can be used alone or in appropriate combinations of two or more types.

(D) Trimethylsiloxysilicate The mascara cosmetic of the present invention preferably further contains (D) trimethylsiloxysilicate. (D) trimethylsiloxysilicate preferably has a weight-average molecular weight of 3000 or more. By having a weight-average molecular weight of 3000 or more, it is possible to impart a longer cosmetic wear effect to the eyelashes.
The weight average molecular weight is a value calculated as polystyrene by gel permeation chromatography (GPC).
Such trimethylsiloxysilicate (D) can be produced by a known method.

Also, commercially available products include, for example, X-21-5250L (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% dimethicone solution), X-21-5616 (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 60% isododecane solution), X-21-5249 (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% decamethylcyclopentasiloxane solution), X-21-5249L (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% dimethicone solution), KF-7312 (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% decamethylcyclopentasiloxane solution), and KF-7312K (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 60% dimethicone solution), KF-7312L (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% dimethicone solution), KF-7312T (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 60% methyl trimethicone solution), X-21-5595 (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 60% isododecane solution), KF-9021 (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% decamethylcyclopentasiloxane solution), KF-9021L (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% dimethicone solution), X-21-5589 (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 50% isododecane solution), MQ-1600 Solid Resin (manufactured by Toray Dow Silicones, 100% pure content), and Wacker-Belsil TMS803 (manufactured by Asahi Kasei Wacker Silicones, 100% pure content).

The blending amount of (D) trimethylsiloxysilicate is preferably 0.1 to 18% by mass, more preferably 0.2 to 15% by mass, and even more preferably 0.3 to 12% by mass, of the total amount of the cosmetic. A blending amount of (D) trimethylsiloxysilicate of 0.1% by mass or more provides a more excellent eyelash curling effect, while a blending amount of 18% by mass or less allows for more uniform application to the eyelashes.

The mascara cosmetic of the present invention may contain, in addition to the film-forming agents (A) and (B) as essential ingredients, component (D) and other film-forming agents, but it is preferable that the total amount of film-forming agents relative to the total amount of the cosmetic be 2.5% by mass or more. By having the total amount of film-forming agents relative to the total amount of the cosmetic be 2.5% by mass or more, the cosmetic can be more easily entangled with the eyelashes, making them appear longer.

In addition to the essential ingredients listed above, the mascara cosmetic of the present invention contains wax, volatile oil, non-volatile oil, and powder. Furthermore, coating agents other than the above components (A), (B), and (D) may also be blended.

Examples of waxes include hydrocarbon waxes such as ozokerite, paraffin, ceresin, microcrystalline wax, and polyethylene wax; solid fats and oils such as Japan wax and hydrogenated castor oil; animal and vegetable waxes such as beeswax, candelilla wax, carnauba wax, cotton wax, montan wax, rice bran wax, and jojoba wax; silicone wax; and sucrose fatty acid esters. One or more of these waxes may be used. Of these, polyethylene wax, microcrystalline wax, and sucrose fatty acid esters are particularly preferred.

Examples of coating agents other than components (A), (B), and (D) include silicone resins such as acrylates/dimethicone copolymer, dextrin isostearate, fluorine-modified silicone, and acrylic silicone; polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl acetate, polyalkyl acetate latexes; dextrin; and cellulose derivatives such as alkylcellulose and nitrocellulose.

Examples of volatile oils include cyclic silicones, volatile linear silicones, light isoparaffins, methylene chloride, fluorocarbons, hexane, cyclohexane, ether, toluene, xylene, acetone, benzene, terpenes, and water, among which cyclic silicones, volatile linear silicones, and light isoparaffins are particularly preferred. An example of light isoparaffins is Isopar H (manufactured by ExxonMobil Corporation).
The preferred blend amount of volatile oil is 10 to 60% by mass, and particularly preferably 30 to 40% by mass.

Non-volatile oils include, for example, avocado oil, camellia oil, turtle oil, macadamia nut oil, corn oil, mink oil, olive oil, rapeseed oil, egg yolk oil, sesame oil, persic oil, wheat germ oil, camellia oil, castor oil, linseed oil, safflower oil, cottonseed oil, perilla oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, tea seed oil, kaya oil, rice bran oil, Chinese tung oil, Japanese tung oil, jojoba oil, germ oil, liquid oils such as triglycerin, glycerin trioctanoate, and glycerin triisopalmitate; hydrocarbon oils such as hydrogenated polyisobutene, liquid paraffin, squalene, squalane, and pristane; higher alcohol fatty acids such as oleic acid, tall oil, and isostearic acid; lauryl alcohol; and oleyl alcohol. , higher alcohols such as isostearyl alcohol and octyldodecanol; silicones such as dimethylpolysiloxane, methylphenylpolysiloxane, methylhydrogenpolysiloxane and decamethylpolysiloxane; isopropyl myristate, hexyl laurate, oleyl oleate, decyl oleate, octyldodecyl myristate, hexyldecyl dimethyloctanoate, diethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, polyoxyalkylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid esters, ester oils such as fatty acid sucrose, and the like, of which preferred are ester oils such as polyoxyalkylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid esters, hydrogenated polyisobutene, and fatty acid sucrose.

Furthermore, the mascara cosmetic of the present invention may contain aqueous components such as water, glycerin, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, hexylene glycol, octoxyglycerin, 1,3-butanediol, ethanol, methanol, propanol, isopropanol, and butanol, as well as other components typically contained in cosmetics, such as basic substances, fragrances, preservatives, cosmetic agents, and thickeners, in order to maintain the formulation and provide moisturizing effects.

The mascara cosmetic of the present invention is preferably in a solid, paste, or liquid form within a range of viscosity that allows powders and pigments to be stably dispersed.

The formulation of the mascara cosmetic according to the present invention is not particularly limited, but it is preferably an oil-based cosmetic.

The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples. In the following examples, the blending amounts are expressed in mass % unless otherwise specified.
Mascara cosmetics having the compositions shown in Tables 1 to 3 below were prepared by a conventional method and evaluated according to the following criteria.

(Lengthening effect)
The prepared mascara cosmetics were used by 10 expert panelists and evaluated according to the following criteria.
<Evaluation criteria>
AA: 9 or more people rated it as having a long-lasting effect. A: 7-8 people rated it as having a long-lasting effect. B: 6 people rated it as having a long-lasting effect. C: 4-5 people rated it as having a long-lasting effect. D: 3 or less people rated it as having a long-lasting effect.

(Operational difficulty (lack of spinnability))
The prepared mascara cosmetics were used by 10 expert panelists and evaluated according to the following criteria.

AA: 9 or more people rated the operability as good. A: 7-8 people rated the operability as good. B: 6 people rated the operability as good. C: 4-5 people rated the operability as good. D: 3 or less people rated the operability as good.

(Curl effect)
The prepared mascara cosmetics were used by 10 expert panelists and evaluated according to the following criteria.

As shown in Table 1, Examples 1 to 3, in which the fiber length was varied within the range of 2 to 4 mm, all achieved lengthening and curling effects and had good operability. Furthermore, Examples 4 to 9, in which the total amount of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan and (B) component was varied, also achieved lengthening and curling effects and had good operability. Furthermore, Examples 10 and 11, in which polypropylsilsesquioxane was incorporated as component (B), also achieved lengthening and curling effects and had good operability. Table 2 shows examples in which the amount of component (B) (polymethylsilsesquioxane) was kept constant at 1% by mass, while the amounts of (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan and (D) trimethylsiloxysilicate were varied. In these cases, lengthening and curling effects were also achieved and good operability was also achieved.

Comparative Examples 1 to 3 in Table 3 are examples that do not contain (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan, Comparative Examples 4 to 8 are examples that do not contain component (B), and Comparative Example 9 is an example that does not contain fiber. All of these examples had good handleability but did not achieve lengthening effects. Furthermore, Comparative Examples 10 to 15 are examples that did not contain either (A) tri(trimethylsiloxy)silylpropylcarbamic acid pullulan or component (B) (oil-in-water examples that incorporate dimethylacrylamide/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate) crosspolymer as a thickener). In these cases, all of the lengthening effects and handleability were good but did not achieve curling effects.

The mascara cosmetic according to claim 1 , wherein the length of the fibers (C) is 2 to 4 mm, and the fibers having a length of 3 mm or more account for 50% by mass or more of the total amount of the fibers. 2.
