Description

The present invention relates to a packaging box formed by folding a blank, and in particular to a packaging box that is easy to assemble and disassemble, and has a structure that makes it easy to remove items stored inside.

Paper boxes have traditionally been widely used to store and protect food, medicine, cosmetics, toys, daily necessities, and other items, while also transporting them. Paper boxes are used in a variety of fields, taking advantage of the advantages of paper, such as their low cost and ease of processing.

In particular, paper boxes, which are formed by folding blank cardboard sheets along creases without using adhesives or other adhesives when assembling, simplify the assembly and disassembly processes and also make it easy to recycle the paper after use, so a variety of shapes and structures have been proposed.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a paper box made by folding cardboard, in which the corner flaps of the side panels are inserted and fixed inside the fold-in flaps of the adjacent side panels, keeping the side panels in an upright position. By removing the corner flaps, the side panels can be easily folded down and unfolded into a flat plate, allowing the stored items (confectionery) to be removed without damaging them.

However, with the paper box disclosed in Patent Document 1, the side panels spread out in all directions when unfolded, requiring a large area to flatten. Furthermore, when attempting to reseal the box, it was necessary to hold the four side panels upright while inserting the corner flaps and putting on the lid, making it difficult to use.

Patent Document 2 also discloses a paper box with a simple divider that is integrated into the packaging box, and claims that by attaching the simple divider to the inside of the paper box, multiple stored items will not bump into each other or fly out of the paper box during transport.

However, the paper box disclosed in Patent Document 2 requires the time-consuming task of attaching dividers to the inside of the narrow paper box, and the dividers make it difficult to see the contents when the lid is opened, and items can get caught on the dividers, making them difficult to remove.

According to the invention described in claim 1, the inner back panel connected to the back panel of a box made by folding a blank sheet is folded inward so as to sandwich the folding pieces between it and the back panel, and the retaining pieces provided on both left and right ends of the leading edge press against the left and right side panels. This prevents the inner back panel from shifting due to the friction between the retaining pieces and the left and right side panels, and the back panel, folding pieces, and inner back panel are held upright from the bottom panel. Meanwhile, the front panel is easily opened by being forced forward by the folding pieces due to the natural elasticity of the folding pieces between the left and right side panels. When products are stored in the box and the front panel is raised and the lid is placed on top, the lid has a box-like shape. When the lid is removed, the back panel and inner back panel remain upright, while the front panel is forced forward and folds down due to the elasticity of the folding pieces, making products stored on the bottom panel easy to see and remove from the front.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below.

Figure 1 is an exploded view of a blank sheet for an example of a packaging box body of the present invention. The front panel 12, left panel 14a, back panel 13, and right panel 14b are connected to each side of the rectangular bottom panel 11 via fold lines. The front panel 12 and left panel 14a are connected by fold-in piece 16a, the left panel 14a and back panel 13 by fold-in piece 17a, the back panel 13 and right panel 14b by fold-in piece 17b, and the right panel 14b and front panel 12 by fold-in piece 16b. The fold-in pieces 16a, 16b, 17a, and 17b are folded into the inside of the body box 10 along the fold lines. An inner back panel 15, approximately the same size as the back panel, is connected to the edge of the back panel 13 opposite the edge connected to the bottom panel 11. Pressing pieces 18a and 18b are connected to both left and right ends of the tip of the inner back panel 15. To assemble the box 10, first fold the right and left side panels 14b, 14a, and back panel 13 along the creases around the bottom panel 11. At this time, the fold-out pieces 17a and 17b are folded inside the box 10. Next, as shown in Figure 2, the back panel 15 is folded inward to a position facing the back panel 13, sandwiching the fold-out pieces 17a and 17b. This fold causes the retaining pieces 18a and 18b on both ends of the leading edge of the back panel 15 to abut against the side panels 14a and 14b. The elasticity of the retaining pieces 18a and 18b presses them against the side panels 14a and 14b, locking the back panel 15 in place through friction, holding the back panel 15 facing the back panel 13. At this point, the back panel 13, back panel 15, and side panels 14 are positioned approximately upright relative to the bottom panel 11.

Next, the front panel 12 is raised as shown in Figure 3, but prior to this, products to be stored can be placed on the bottom panel 11. The front panel 12 is raised by folding the fold-out pieces 16a and 16b inside the main box 10, and the main box 10 is formed into a box shape as shown in Figure 3(b). However, because the fold-out pieces 16a and 16b elastically tend to unfold sideways, the front panel 12 is forced to fall forward. Unless it is pressed down by some means, such as with a hand, from the direction of the white arrow, it will not be able to maintain its upright position, and the main box 10 will not maintain its box-like shape and will be open at the front.

On the other hand, when dismantling the body box 10, the folded portions along the creases can be easily returned to their original state, returning it to a flat blank sheet, and it can be easily disposed of. Furthermore, because no adhesives or other adhesives are used, it is environmentally friendly and suitable for recycling.

Next, the structure of the cover lid to be placed on the main box will be described. Fig. 4 is a development view of a blank sheet of an example of a cover lid for the packaging box of the present invention. The cover 20 is made up of flaps 25a, 25b connected to the side panels 21 and 23b, respectively, and a tongue 26 connected to the side panel 24. Glue tabs 27 are connected to the side edges of the side panels 21, which are then coated with adhesive and bonded to the side edges of the side panels 23b to form a cylindrical body. The top panel 22 is then folded and the insert tabs 22b are inserted and engaged to form a box-like shape (Figure 5). The bottom defines an opening for inserting the main box 10. By pulling out the insert tabs 22 and raising the top panel 22, the cover 20 can be easily folded flat, making it easy to dispose of.

Figure 6 is an external view of the packaging box of the present invention with the cover lid placed on the main box. This is an external view of the packaging box 1 of the present invention, in which the main box 10, which has a box-like shape with the front panel shown in Figure 3(b) in an upright position, is housed in the cover lid 20 of the embodiment shown in Figure 5. The cover lid can be removed by pulling it upward, but if notches 28a, 28b are provided on the lower edges of the opposing side panels 23a, 23b of the cover lid 20, it becomes easier to grip the main box 10 at those portions and to pull up the cover lid 20. The notches 28 may be provided on the side of the side panels 21, 24, or on both.

When the cover 20 is lifted and removed from the packaging box 1 containing the product, as shown in Figure 7, the folding pieces 16 naturally unfold to the left and right due to their elasticity, and the front panel 12 is forced forward and falls, naturally opening the front, making the stored product 40 easy to see and remove. Meanwhile, the back panel 13 and side panels 14 are held down by the inner back panel 15, so they remain in a nearly upright position. This prevents the main box 10 from unfolding more than necessary, making it easy to handle.

To reseal the packaging box 1, simply fold the front panel 12 up and place the cover lid 20 over it, allowing for easy resealing.

In Figure 7, the product 40 is stored by fitting it into a box-shaped partition base 30 placed on the bottom panel. The partition base 30 can be constructed by folding a blank sheet like the one shown in Figure 8 into a box shape. The partition base can also be provided with locking holes 31, 32, 33, 34 and restriction plates 35 of any shape to suit the shape of the product to be stored.

Attaching the divider base 30 allows the stored products to be fitted into the locking holes and secured in place, preventing products from colliding with each other due to vibrations during transport, and preventing products from being damaged or shifting out of position, which is preferable.

The materials that make up the main box, cover lid, and divider box that make up the packaging box of the present invention are not particularly limited as long as they have appropriate stiffness, and examples include corrugated cardboard, paperboard, and plastic sheets. However, from the perspectives of ease of disposal and recycling, and environmental friendliness, corrugated cardboard and paperboard that have appropriate stiffness and are made from paper are more preferred.

As explained above, the packaging box of the present invention is easy to assemble, easy to disassemble, and easy to recycle. Furthermore, when the lid is removed, the front panel naturally folds down, making the contents easy to see and remove. It can be used as a packaging box for gifts or as a so-called POP (point-of-purchase) material for in-store displays.
