Description
編組位置決めクリップは、移行領域において編組シールドに係合して、編組シールドと信号導体との関係を維持し、ケーブルの電気的性能の低下を最小限に抑える。
導体20、22は互いに離間し、本質的に互いに平行に延びている。導体20、22は、限定されないが、編組銅シールドなどの編組金属シールド16によって囲まれている。中心導体20、22は、個々の誘電体24、26によって囲まれていてもよい。
しかしながら、他の例示的な実施形態において、編組位置決めクリップ60は、他の方法または手段によって、編組シールド16および金属化箔18を導体20、22に対して保持する。例えば、編組位置決めクリップ60は、編組シールド16および金属化箔18を導体20、22に対して適切に保持するように圧着されてもよく、またはさらに別の圧着プロセスがあってもよい。編組位置決めクリップ60が編組シールド16および金属化箔18と内部信号導体20、22との関係を維持するので、ケーブルの電気的性能の低下が最小限に抑えられ、それにより、電気的性能が向上する。
Claims (12)
- ケーブル(12)の端部を終端させるためのケーブルアセンブリ(10)であって、
前記ケーブル(12)の前記端部でケーブルジャケット(14)に圧着された圧着フェルール(30)と、
一部(42)が前記圧着フェルール(30)に位置決めされている外殻(32、34)と、
前記外殻(32、34)に位置決めされた内部ハウジング(50)であって、前記ケーブル(12)の前記端部から延びる個々の信号導体(20、22)と協働する内部ハウジング(50)と
を備え、
前記ケーブル(12)は、前記ケーブル(12)の前記端部から前記内部ハウジング(50)へ延びる前記個々の信号導体(20、22)と、前記ケーブル(12)の前記端部から、前記圧着フェルール(30)に位置決めされた前記外殻(32、34)の前記一部(42)へ延びる編組シールド(16)とを有し、
前記ケーブルアセンブリ(10)は、
前記ケーブル(12)の前記端部と前記圧着フェルール(30)に位置決めされた前記外殻(32、34)の前記一部(42)の端部との間に設けられた移行領域(62)と、
前記移行領域(62)において前記編組シールド(16)に係合して、前記編組シールド(16)と前記信号導体(20、22)との関係を維持し、前記ケーブル(12)の電気的性能の低下を最小限に抑える編組位置決めクリップ(60)と
を備える、ケーブルアセンブリ。
- 前記圧着フェルール(30)は、空間を隔てて前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)を覆う、請求項1に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)は、円弧部(68)と直線部とを有する、請求項1に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)は、2つの円弧部(68)と、前記円弧部(68)の間に延びる直線部(70)とを有する、請求項1に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記円弧部(68)は自由端(72)を有し、前記自由端(72)は、一列に位置決めされるが互いに離間している、請求項4に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- スロット(74)が前記自由端(72)の間に設けられている、請求項5に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記円弧部(68)は自由端(72)を有し、前記自由端(72)は異なる平面に位置決めされている、請求項4に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)は弾性変形可能である、請求項1に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)はC字形構成である、請求項8に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)は金属から形成されている、請求項8に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)はプラスチックから形成されている、請求項8に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
- 前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)の内面(76)が、前記編組シールド(16)を前記信号導体(20、22)に対して封じ込めるまたは圧縮するような寸法であり、前記編組位置決めクリップ(60)は、前記編組シールド(16)を前記信号導体(20、22)に近接して維持することができる、請求項8に記載のケーブルアセンブリ(10)。
