(Embodiment)
An example of the laver product of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As an example, the laver product shown in Figures 1(a) and (b) is formed in a corrugated shape (sine wave shape) with repeated peaks 11 and valleys 12 on both sides of a base laver material 10.

The seaweed product of this embodiment has a rectangular shape when viewed from above, with peaks 11 and valleys 12 arranged alternately on one side 10a of the seaweed material 10 (for ease of explanation, referred to as the "front side"), and peaks 11 and valleys 12 arranged alternately on the other side 10b (for ease of explanation, referred to as the "back side").

In this embodiment, the peaks 11 and valleys 12 on both the front and back sides are continuous, with the valleys 12 on the front side 10a becoming peaks 11 on the back side 10b, and the valleys 12 on the back side 10b becoming peaks 11 on the front side 10a.

As shown in FIG. 2, in this embodiment, the height H of the peaks 11 (in other words, the depth of the valleys 12) is about 5 mm. The values shown here are merely examples, and the peak height may be higher or lower than 5 mm. For example, in addition to 5 mm, multiple types of different heights, such as 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm, and 7 mm, can also be prepared.

In the example shown in Fig. 1(a) and (b), the number of peaks 11 and valleys 12 is seven, but the number of peaks 11 and valleys 12 described here is just an example, and the number of peaks 11 and valleys 12 may be more or less than this. In addition, the peaks 11 and valleys 12 may be formed on only one of the front surface 10a and the back surface 10b of the seaweed material 10.

In this embodiment, the tops 11a of the peaks 11 and the bottoms 12a of the valleys 12 are curved. By making them curved, the risk of tearing at the tops 11a of the peaks 11 and the bottoms 12a of the valleys 12 can be reduced compared to when they have acute mountain shapes, improving yields.

As shown in FIG. 2, in this embodiment, the distance L1 between the peaks 11a of adjacent peaks 11 (hereinafter referred to as the "peak-to-peak distance") is set to about 7 to 10 mm; in other words, the distance L2 between the valley bottoms 12a of valleys 12 (hereinafter referred to as the "valley-to-valley distance") is set to about 7 to 10 mm.

Therefore, the distance L3 from the peak 11a of one peak 11 to the valley bottom 12a of the valley 12 that is continuous with the peak 11 (hereinafter referred to as the "peak-to-valley bottom distance") is half the peak-to-peak distance L1 and the valley bottom distance L2. The distances L1 to L3 described here are only examples, and the peaks 11 and valleys 12 can be spaced closer or wider than this.

In this embodiment, the nori product is completed by drying the molded semi-finished product, so that after processing, irregularly curled up portions 13 are formed on the front surface 10a and/or back surface 10b of the nori product, as shown in FIG. 3.

In the seaweed product of this embodiment, the presence of the peaks 11 and valleys 12 provides a texture not found in conventional flat sheet-shaped seaweed. When the curved-up portions 13 are added, a different texture is obtained than when only the peaks 11 and valleys 12 are present.

(Modification)
In the above embodiment, the nori product is made of one sheet of nori material 10, but the nori product of the present invention can also be made by stacking two or more sheets of nori material 10. By stacking two or more sheets of nori material 10, the product becomes chewier than when made of one sheet of nori material 10, and a different texture can be obtained from when made of one sheet of nori material 10.

When stacking two or more sheets of seaweed material 10, they can be stacked so that the peaks 11 overlap and the valleys 12 overlap, or they can be stacked so that the peaks 11 do not overlap and the valleys 12 do not overlap and are shifted.

In the former case, the peaks 11 overlap and the valleys 12 overlap, providing a chewy texture not found in a single piece of bread. In the latter case, the peaks 11 and valleys 12 overlap, providing a crispy texture not found in the past.

In the above embodiment, the peaks 11 and valleys 12 are formed on both sides of the base seaweed material 10, but the seaweed product of the present invention can also be formed so that the peaks 11 and valleys 12 are formed on only one side of the base seaweed material 10.

In the seaweed product of the present invention, the base seaweed material 10 can be made by mixing seaweed with other ingredients. The other ingredients can include various seafood that goes well with seaweed (for example, whitebait, kelp, fish flakes, etc.), as well as finely chopped vegetables.

In addition, in the seaweed product of the present invention, seasoning liquid can be applied to both or either of the front surface 10a and back surface 10b. The seasoning liquid can be any of a variety of seasonings such as soy sauce, sake, mirin, salt, and sugar (including combinations of these in appropriate amounts).

In the seaweed product of the present invention, flavored powders can be applied (including attached to the seaweed product) to both or either of the front surface 10a and back surface 10b. In addition to salt, flavored powders include wasabi powder, chili powder, miso powder, spice powder, curry powder, pepper powder, basil powder, and other powders with various flavors (including flavors).

There is no particular limit to the size of the nori product, and it is possible to develop products in multiple different sizes. For example, the nori product shown in Figures 4(a) and (b) is approximately 210 mm long and 124 mm wide.

In addition, the seaweed products shown in Figures 5(a) and (b) are approximately 105 mm long x 124 mm wide, the seaweed products shown in Figures 6(a) and (b) are approximately 52.5 mm long x 62 mm wide, the seaweed products shown in Figures 7(a) and (b) are approximately 52.5 mm long x 31 mm wide, the seaweed products shown in Figures 8(a) and (b) are approximately 31 mm long x 105 mm wide, and the seaweed products shown in Figures 9(a) and (b) are approximately 52.5 mm long x 124 mm wide.

The seaweed products shown in Figures 10(a) and (b) are approximately 135 mm long and 190 mm wide, the seaweed products shown in Figures 11(a) and (b) are approximately 135 mm long and 95 mm wide, and the seaweed products shown in Figures 12(a) and (b) are approximately 67.5 mm long and 95 mm wide.

The size of the seaweed product shown here is an example, and the size of the seaweed product of the present invention may be other than the size shown. The size of the seaweed product can be determined depending on the product. For example, a bite-sized product can be used as a seaweed snack, and a size similar to that of conventional roasted seaweed (sheet seaweed) can be used as edible seaweed.

In addition, there is no particular limitation on the direction of the waves, and the peaks 11 and valleys 12 can be configured to repeat in the short direction of the seaweed material 10, or the peaks 11 and valleys 12 can be configured to repeat in the long direction of the seaweed material 10. In some cases, the peaks 11 and valleys 12 can be configured to repeat from a corner of the seaweed material 10 toward a diagonal position.

In this embodiment, the base seaweed material 10 has a rectangular shape as an example, but the base seaweed material 10 may have any other shape, such as a perfect circle, ellipse, star, polygon, etc.

The nori seaweed product of the present invention can also be provided with various patterns such as figures, letters, illustrations, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "patterns, etc."). Patterns, etc. can be provided (drawn) using edible materials, or formed by laser cutting using a laser device, etc.

When creating patterns using laser cutting, the pattern can be made visible when the nori product is viewed flat, or it can be made visible only when the nori product is viewed from a specific direction other than flat, such as diagonally or sideways.

For example, when viewed from a flat surface, the laser-cut holes and lines appear as simple holes and lines, but when viewed from an oblique angle, they appear as a single connected pattern. This makes it possible to create a three-dimensional expression, adding unprecedented aesthetic value.

The seaweed product of the present invention can also be made by forming a corrugated sheet material into a cylindrical (rolled) shape so that waves appear on both the inner and outer surfaces of the cylinder. In this case, the internal space can be filled with various flavored pastes, etc.

The flavored paste can have the same flavor (flavor) as the flavored powder described above. The internal space can contain something other than paste. When rolling the nori into a roll, a flat sheet of nori without peaks 11 and valleys 12 can be used instead of corrugated nori.

The seaweed product of the present invention can also be structured by sandwiching seasoning liquid, various flavored powders, or various flavored pastes between multiple (two or more) sheets of seaweed material 10. In this way, a seaweed product with a new texture can be obtained that is different from a single sheet of seaweed product with peaks 11 and valleys 12, and from a seaweed product made by stacking two or more sheets of seaweed material 10 with peaks 11 and valleys 12.

In addition, one or more of the various seasoning liquids, various flavored powders, and various flavored pastes (hereinafter referred to as "seasoning liquids, etc.") 14 described above can be sandwiched between the multiple sheets of seaweed material 10.

(Method of manufacturing seaweed products)
The laver product of the present invention can be produced, for example, by using a laver product production apparatus 20 shown in Fig. 13. This laver product production apparatus 20 includes a pair of forming rollers 21a, 21b arranged opposite to each other, a heating device 22 for heating both forming rollers 21a, 21b, and a pressing force adjusting device 23 for adjusting the pressing force of the forming rollers 21a, 21b.

The outer circumferential surfaces of both forming rollers 21a and 21b are provided with roller-side valleys 24 and roller-side peaks 25 that form peaks 11 and valleys 12 in the seaweed material 10. The roller-side valleys 24 and roller-side peaks 25 are provided continuously in the direction of rotation of each forming roller 21a and 21b.

When producing a seaweed product using this seaweed product production device 20, the seaweed material 10 is fed between the two forming rollers 21a and 21b that have been heated to a predetermined temperature, and the two forming rollers 21a and 21b form peaks 11 and valleys 12 on the front and back surfaces of the seaweed material 10.

The seaweed material 10 fed between the forming rollers 21a and 21b may be a sheet of seaweed material 10 sandwiched between two or more of seasoning liquid, flavored powder, and flavored paste (see FIG. 14).

In addition, the seasoning liquid 14 can be applied to the seaweed material 10 either before passing through both forming rollers 21a and 21b (before the peaks 11 and valleys 12 are formed on the front and back surfaces) or after passing through both forming rollers 21a and 21b (after the peaks 11 and valleys 12 are formed on the front and back surfaces).

The seasoning liquid, etc. 14 can be applied to both sides of the nori material 10 or to only one side. In a nori product using two or more nori sheets 10, it is preferable to apply the seasoning liquid, etc. 14 to the opposing sides of the two nori sheets 10, as shown in FIG. 14.

When the seasoning liquid 14 is applied to the opposing surfaces of the two sheets of nori seaweed material 10, even if the seasoning liquid 14 is applied before passing through both forming rollers 21a and 21b, the seasoning liquid 14 does not come into direct contact with the forming rollers 21a and 21b, and the seasoning liquid 14 is less likely to burn due to the heat of the forming rollers 21a and 21b.

The seaweed product of the present invention can be commercialized as seaweed snacks that can be eaten casually outside of mealtimes, as well as edible seaweed that can be eaten during meals.
