Abstract
Description
図4のバッテリ装置は、複数の二次電池が直列に接続された組電池42と、各二次電池の過電圧を検知する電圧監視IC41と、二次電池の異常な過電圧時に充電経路を遮断する保護回路であるMOSトランジスタ43、抵抗44、及びヒューズ45を備えている。
図1のバッテリ装置において、充電制御回路1は、例えば組電池2の直列に接続された4つの二次電池の各々の電圧を監視して、過電圧を検出した場合にヒューズ回路5を溶断して、二次電池と外部端子の間に接続された電子機器を保護する半導体装置である。
図2の充電制御回路1は、図1の充電制御回路1において遅延回路16と遅延回路26を共通にして、検出信号入力用のOR回路29と、遅延信号分離用のAND回路18及びAND回路28を備えている。その他の回路構成及び動作は、図1の充電制御回路1と同様のため、説明は省略する。
図3の充電制御回路1は、図2の充電制御回路1において電池接続判定回路10と過電圧検出回路20の代わりにそれらの機能を併せた持った検出回路30を備えている。検出回路30は、直列に接続された電池電圧検出回路31~34を備えている。検出回路30は、ラッチ回路17の出力端子Qのレベルによって、電圧検出の閾値を変更するように構成されている。その他の回路構成は、図2の充電制御回路1と同様のため、説明は省略する。
充電制御回路1の入力端子に組電池2のいずれかの端子が接続されて電圧が入力されると、先ずリセット回路39が起動して、出力端子からリセット信号RSを出力する。ラッチ回路17及びラッチ回路27は、リセット端子Rにリセット信号RSが入力されると、夫々の出力端子QからLレベルの信号Q1及びQ2を出力する。制御回路19は、第一の入力端子及び第二の入力端子にLレベルの信号Q1及びQ2が入力されるので、出力端子にLレベルの信号を出力する。

Claims (7)
- 充電経路のヒューズを溶断することで、複数の二次電池が直列に接続された組電池を保護する充電制御回路であって、
前記組電池の正極端子と複数の中間端子と負極端子が接続される複数の入力端子と、
前記複数の入力端子に接続され、前記入力端子間の電圧を監視することで前記組電池の全ての端子が前記複数の入力端子に接続されたことを検出する電池接続検出回路と、
前記複数の入力端子に接続され、前記複数の二次電池の過電圧を監視する過電圧検出回路と、
前記電池接続検出回路の出力する信号が入力される第一のラッチ回路と、
前記過電圧検出回路の出力する信号が入力される第二のラッチ回路と、
前記充電制御回路が起動したときに前記第一のラッチ回路及び前記第二のラッチ回路に信号を出力するリセット回路と、
前記第二のラッチ回路の出力する信号を受けて、前記組電池を過電圧から保護する信号を出力する制御回路と、を備え
前記制御回路は、前記第一のラッチ回路に前記電池接続検出回路の検出信号が入力されるまでは前記ヒューズを溶断する信号を出力しないことを特徴とする充電制御回路。 - 前記電池接続検出回路は、前記複数の二次電池に対応して直列に接続された複数の電池電圧検出回路と、
前記複数の電池電圧検出回路の出力信号が入力されるAND回路と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の充電制御回路。 - 前記第一のラッチ回路の出力信号で制御されるマスク回路を備え、
前記過電圧検出回路の出力する信号が前記マスク回路を介して前記第二のラッチ回路に入力される
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の充電制御回路。 - 前記電池接続検出回路は、前記第一のラッチ回路の出力信号で動作停止が制御される
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の充電制御回路。 - 前記電池接続検出回路と前記過電圧検出回路が、前記第一のラッチ回路の出力信号で前記電池接続検出回路と前記過電圧検出回路の機能を切換えて動作する検出回路に置き換えられた
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の充電制御回路。 - 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の充電制御回路と、
前記充電制御回路の出力端子にゲートが接続されたMOSトランジスタと、
前記MOSトランジスタに接続されたヒューズ回路と、
を備えたことを特徴とする充電制御装置。 - 複数の二次電池が直列に接続された組電池と、
前記組電池を過電圧から保護する請求項6に記載の充電制御装置と、
を備えたことを特徴とするバッテリ装置。
