Propagation of weeds on sidewalks of general roads and promenades of parks not only spoils the landscape, but also causes problems such as traffic obstacles and fires, so regular weeding work is essential, and many local governments have to pay for it. It's a problem. In addition, weed breeding has become a problem in interlocking of ordinary households. Therefore, there is a high demand for "block flat plates without weeds" in local governments with public sidewalks and ordinary households with interlocking. In addition, there is a high demand for "block flat plates that do not propagate germs" in facilities that regularly perform sterilization work, such as warehouses that manage food and dairy and livestock facilities.

Many methods have been developed so far, such as the weed-proof block method, which prevents the invasion of weeds by using a block shape, and the method of covering with a sheet to prevent the growth of weeds. No products have been developed to provide such functions.
On the other hand, although mortar compositions containing wood chips are known (for example, Patent Documents 1 to 5), the wood chip mortar composition contains a metal for the purpose of exerting a weed-proof effect and / or an antibacterial effect. There is no example.

[Production method]
Next, an example of a method for manufacturing a wood chip mortar material according to the present invention will be described.
First, the raw materials (wood chips, cement, aggregates, and other components) are mixed with an appropriate amount of water to prepare a raw material mixture. This is mixed and kneaded using, for example, an omni mixer, a Henschel mixer, etc., and molding and curing are performed. For example, it can be obtained by spraying and dropping the raw material mixture onto a mold, pressurizing and heating it with a hot press or the like for a predetermined time to cure it, and then removing the mold.

Then, the obtained wood chip mortar molded body contains metal ions. For example, a wood chip mortar molded product is impregnated with a solution containing the metal ions having the antibacterial effect and / or the weed control effect at a concentration of 0.001 to 0.1% for a certain period of time to contain the metal ions. A wood chip mortar molded body can be obtained. Impregnation can be performed, for example, at room temperature for 1 to 24 hours. The wood chip mortar molded body containing the metal ions produced in this manner retains the metal ions for a long period of 300 days or more, and can withstand long-term use.

However, the wood chip mortar composition containing metal ions can also be obtained by using an aqueous solution containing metal ions when mixing the raw materials of the wood chip mortar in advance.

The wood chip mortar composition according to the present invention is useful as civil engineering, construction, horticultural materials and the like having an antibacterial effect and / or a weed control effect, and is used, for example, on a sidewalk, a parking lot, around play equipment in a park, under a guardrail on a roadway, or on a roadway. It can be used for median strips, gardens of ordinary households, sidewalks of houses, warehouses for managing food, and dairy and livestock facilities.

The shape of the material containing the wood chip mortar composition according to the present invention is not particularly limited and may be appropriately selected depending on the construction site and application, but may be, for example, a flat plate.
FIG. 1 shows an example of construction of a flat plate-shaped material. Here, a flat plate (thickness 6 cm) of 30 cm × 30 cm is prepared, and flat plates are spread between both ends of the road, which is the construction site, and used for road pavement. By devising the shape, color, size, and laying method of the flat plate, it is possible to realize the appearance of various patterns including interlocking.

Then, as shown in FIG. 2, while germs and weeds propagated on the flat plate or at the boundary where the flat plates were spread in the conventional material, the material containing the wood chip mortar composition according to the present invention should be used. As a result, germs and weeds do not propagate due to the effect of the metal contained inside, and a safe and hygienic environment can be realized without damaging the landscape. It can be applied to the wall surface of a house in the same manner.

<Comparison between wood chip mortar and porous mortar>
Sand, wood chips, and cement were mixed at a weight ratio of 2: 2: 1 and molded into wood chip mortar (WPM).
For comparison, sand and cement were mixed at a weight ratio of 4: 1 and molded into a porous mortar (hereinafter referred to as PM).
By immersing these in a saline solution for a certain period of time, calcium contained in the inside was leached by about 0 to 75%, and each of them was used for the next heavy metal adsorption test.
The results are shown in FIG. In FIG. 3, the horizontal axis shows the calcium leaching rate of PM or WPM, and the vertical axis shows the adsorption rate of heavy metals and changes in pH. As a result, it was found that in PM, copper was quantitatively adsorbed before calcium leaching, but as the calcium leaching rate increased, the copper adsorption rate decreased sharply. Along with this, it was found that the pH also decreased from 13 to 3.
On the other hand, in the case of WPM, the adsorption rate of 80% or more with respect to copper was maintained regardless of the leaching rate of calcium, and the pH hardly decreased. From these results, the material containing the wood chip mortar composition of the present invention maintains the adsorptive ability of copper even when the material itself deteriorates after being left in the environment for a long period of time, and has excellent durability. It has been found to be useful as a civil engineering, building or horticultural material with an effect and / or an antibacterial effect.
