本出願は、2010年3月23日に出願された「Methods and Apparatus for indicating Network Machine Type Communication Capabilities」と題された米国特許仮出願第61/316596号明細書と、2010年4月2日に出願された「Improving Efficiency by Signaling Reduction for MTC Devices」と題された米国特許仮出願第61/320610号明細書と、2010年4月29日に出願された「Methods of Improving Power Efficiency by Signaling Reduction for MTC Devices」と題された米国特許仮出願第61/329392号明細書との利益を主張し、その開示内容は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (12)
- 無線送受信ユニット(WTRU)についての小データ通信の方法であって、
第1のメッセージを無線通信ネットワークに送信することであって、前記第1のメッセージは、小データ転送についての前記WTRUの能力を示す第1の表示を備え、前記小データ転送の能力は、ユーザデータを制御プレーンを介して送信する前記能力を含む、ことと、
第2のメッセージを前記無線通信ネットワークから受信することであって、前記第2のメッセージは、第2の表示を備え、前記第2の表示は、前記小データ転送についての前記無線通信ネットワークの能力を示す、ことと、
受信機を介して、前記無線通信ネットワークからページングメッセージを受信することと、
プロセッサを介して、前記ページングメッセージに応答して、無線リソース制御(RRC)接続要求を開始することと、
送信機を介して、RRC接続要求メッセージを前記無線通信ネットワークに送信することと、
前記受信機を介して、前記RRC接続要求メッセージに応答して、前記無線通信ネットワークからRRCメッセージを受信することであって、前記RRCメッセージは付加された小データを含み、前記小データはユーザデータを含み、少なくとも前記ユーザデータは制御プレーンを介して受信され、前記RRCメッセージは、情報要素(IE)を含み、前記IEは、前記小データが前記RRCメッセージに付加されることを示す、ことと、
前記プロセッサを介して、前記制御プレーンを介して送信された前記ユーザデータを検出することと
を備える方法。 - 前記小データは、マシンタイプ通信(MTC)小データである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記RRC接続要求メッセージを送信することは、前記RRC接続要求メッセージが前記ページングメッセージに応答していることを示すことをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ページングメッセージを受信することは、前記WTRUによって、RRCアイドル状態中に行われる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記RRCメッセージは、RRC接続セットアップメッセージ、RRC接続受諾メッセージ、またはRRC接続拒否メッセージのうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記RRCメッセージは、情報要素(IE)を含み、前記IEは、前記RRCメッセージが小データを含む最後のメッセージであることを示している、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 無線送受信ユニット(WTRU)であって、

前記送信機は、第1のメッセージを無線通信ネットワークに送信するように構成され、前記第1のメッセージは、小データ転送についての前記WTRUの能力を示す第1の表示を備え、前記小データ転送の能力は、ユーザデータを制御プレーンを介して送信する前記能力を含み、
前記受信機は、第2のメッセージを前記無線通信ネットワークから受信するように構成され、前記第2のメッセージは、第2の表示を備え、前記第2の表示は、前記小データ転送についての前記無線通信ネットワークの能力を示し、
前記受信機は、前記無線通信ネットワークからページングメッセージを受信するようにさらに構成され、
前記プロセッサは、前記ページングメッセージに応答して、無線リソース制御(RRC)接続要求を開始するように構成され、
前記送信機は、RRC接続要求メッセージを前記無線通信ネットワークに送信するようにさらに構成され、
前記受信機は、前記RRC接続要求メッセージに応答して、前記無線通信ネットワークからRRCメッセージを受信するようにさらに構成され、前記RRCメッセージは付加された小データを含み、前記小データはユーザデータを含み、少なくとも前記ユーザデータは制御プレーンを介して受信され、前記RRCメッセージは、情報要素(IE)を含み、前記プロセッサは、前記小データが前記RRCメッセージに付加されることを示しているものとして前記IEを解釈するようにさらに構成され、
前記プロセッサは、前記制御プレーンを介して送信された前記ユーザデータを検出するようにさらに構成された、
WTRU。 - 前記小データは、マシンタイプ通信(MTC)小データである、請求項7に記載のWTRU。
- 前記プロセッサは、前記RRC接続要求メッセージが前記ページングメッセージに応答していることを示すようにさらに構成された、請求項7に記載のWTRU。
- 前記受信機は、前記ページングメッセージがRRCアイドル状態中に受信されるようにさらに構成された、請求項7に記載のWTRU。
- 前記RRCメッセージは、RRC接続セットアップメッセージ、RRC接続受諾メッセージ、またはRRC接続拒否メッセージのうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項7に記載のWTRU。
- 前記RRCメッセージは、情報要素(IE)を含み、前記プロセッサは、前記RRCメッセージが小データを含む最後のメッセージであることを示しているものとして前記IEを解釈するようにさらに構成された、請求項7に記載のWTRU。
