本出願は、米国特許法第119条に基づき、2011年7月21日に出願された”HOSE CLAMP WITH FLAT SPRING LINER”と題する米国特許出願番号第13/188,093号に対する優先権を主張し、その全ての内容を参照により本願明細書に援用する。
Claims (8)
- クランプを取り付ける方法であって、
ホースの上を覆うように前記クランプを設置する工程を有し、前記クランプは、バンドと前記バンドの環状の内面に位置するスプリングライナーを有するものであって、
前記スプリングライナーは、前記スプリングライナーの第一縁部近傍にある第一円周肩部と、前記スプリングライナーの第二縁部近傍にある第二円周肩部と、
横断面から見たときに、前記円周肩部の内周よりも小さい内周である平坦な表面を有する中央の円筒接触部と、
前記中央の円筒接触部と結合しており、前記第一円周肩部へ向けて外側に延びた第一脚部と、
前記中央の円筒接触部と結合しており、前記第二円周肩部へ向けて外側に延びた第二脚部と、
を有し、
前記第一円周肩部は、前記第一脚部から前記スプリングライナーの前記第一縁部に配置された第一の径方向外向きに広がったフランジまで延び、前記第二円周肩部は、前記第二脚部から前記スプリングライナーの前記第二縁部に配置された第二の径方向外向きに広がったフランジまで延び、
前記バンドを、前記ホースに係合されている前記スプリングライナーの前記中央の円筒接触部へ向けて固く結合させる工程と、
前記バンドの内面と、前記スプリングライナーの中央の円筒接触部の平坦な表面との間のギャップを減少させ、前記ホース内に圧縮領域を形成するために前記スプリングライナーを撓ませる工程と、を有し、
前記スプリングライナーの前記中央の円筒接触部は、弾性的に撓む、方法。 - さらに、
前記スプリングライナーの前記第一円周肩部と、前記バンドの環状の内面とを係合させる工程と、
前記スプリングライナーの前記第二円周肩部と、前記バンドの環状の内面とを係合させる工程とを有する、
請求項1に記載の、方法。 - 前記スプリングライナーを撓ませる工程は、前記スプリングライナーの第一脚部を動かす工程と、第二脚部を動かす工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項2記載の、方法。
- 前記スプリングライナーを撓ませる工程は、中央の円筒接触部を変形させる工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項3記載の、方法。
- 前記スプリングライナーは、弾性的に撓むものであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の、方法。
- クランプを取り付ける方法であって、
ホースの上を覆うように前記クランプを設置する工程を有し、前記クランプはバンドと前記バンドの環状の内面に位置するスプリングライナーを有するものであって、
前記スプリングライナーは、前記スプリングライナーの第一縁部近傍にある第一円周肩部と、前記スプリングライナーの第二縁部近傍にある第二円周肩部と、
第一円周肩部に接続している第一の端部から第二の端部の方向へ向けて延びた第一脚部と、
第二円周肩部に接続している第一の端部から第二の端部の方向へ向けて延びた第二脚部と、
前記第一脚部のある第二の端部から前記第二脚部のある第二端部へ向けて延びる中央の円筒接触部と、
を有し、
さらに前記円筒接触部は、横断面から見たとき前記円筒接触部と前記バンドの内面でギャップが画定されるように、前記円周肩部の内周よりも小さい内周である平坦な表面を有するものであって、
前記第一円周肩部は、前記第一脚部から前記スプリングライナーの前記第一縁部に配置された第一の径方向外向きに広がったフランジまで延び、前記第二円周肩部は、前記第二脚部から前記スプリングライナーの前記第二縁部に配置された第二の径方向外向きに広がったフランジまで延び、
前記バンドを、前記ホースに係合されている前記スプリングライナーの前記中央の円筒接触部へ向けて固く結合させる工程と、
前記バンドの内面と、前記スプリングライナーの中央の円筒接触部の平坦な表面との間の前記ギャップを減少させ、前記ホース内に圧縮領域を形成するために前記スプリングライナーを撓ませる工程を有し、
前記スプリングライナーの前記中央の円筒接触部は、弾性的に撓む、方法。 - 前記スプリングライナーを撓ませる工程は、前記スプリングライナーの第一脚部を動かす工程と、第二脚部を動かす工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項6記載の、方法。
- 前記スプリングライナーを撓ませる工程は、中央の円筒接触部を変形させる工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項7記載の、方法。
