Description
医療用縫合糸100は、主として、芯糸110および外層糸120を備えて構成されている。芯糸110は、医療用縫合糸100の内部に配置される糸であり、複数の極細糸111の集合によって構成されている。本実施形態においては、芯糸110は、複数の極細糸111の集合からなる2つの束を撚って1つの糸に形成して構成されている。これにより、芯糸110は、本実施形態においては、約0.27mmの太さに形成されている。
次に、この医療用縫合糸100の製造過程について説明する。医療用縫合糸100を製造する作業者は、まず、内線カバー層112が形成されていない極細糸111および外線カバー層122が形成されていない極細糸121をそれぞれ用意する。具体的には、極細糸111,121のベースとなる線材111a,121aをそれぞれ用意する。
次に、上記のように構成した医療用縫合糸100の作動について説明する。医者などの使用者は、包装から解いた医療用縫合糸100を縫合針などの医療器具(図示せず)に連結して手術または怪我の治療などの医療行為を行う。この場合、医療用縫合糸100は、極細糸111,121にそれぞれ形成された内線カバー層112および外線カバー層122が線材111a,121aの各総重量の0.1%の重量で形成されているため、医療用縫合糸100に巻き癖がつき難いとともに巻き癖がついている場合であっても短時間に解消されて直線状に延びる。また、この場合、医療用縫合糸100は、円環状に巻かれた状態において、互いに隣接する医療用縫合糸100同士がくっつき難くなっており、使用者は医療用縫合糸100を容易に直線状に延ばすことができる。

Claims (3)
- 1つまたは複数の繊維状の極細糸で1本の糸を構成した医療用縫合糸であって、
前記極細糸は、
外表面に2−メタクリロイルオキシエチルホスホリルコリン(MPC)からなるカバー層が形成されており、
前記カバー層は、
前記極細糸を構成して前記カバー層が形成される線材の総重量の0.05%以上かつ0.3%未満の重量で、かつ、前記線材の外表面における一部を露出させた状態で前記線材の軸方向および周方向にそれぞれ均一な形成密度で前記線材の表面積の50%以上を覆う状態で形成されていることを特徴とする医療用縫合糸。 - 1つまたは複数の繊維状の極細糸で1本の糸を構成した医療用縫合糸であって、
前記極細糸は、
外表面に2−メタクリロイルオキシエチルホスホリルコリン(MPC)からなるカバー層が形成されており、
前記カバー層は、
前記極細糸を構成して前記カバー層が形成される線材の総重量の0.05%以上かつ0.3%未満の重量で、かつ、前記線材の外表面を完全に覆った状態で形成されていることを特徴とする医療用縫合糸。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載した医療用縫合糸において、
前記カバー層は、
前記極細糸を構成して前記カバー層が形成される線材の総重量の0.1%以上かつ0.3%未満の重量で形成されていることを特徴とする医療用縫合糸。
