- 加熱エレメントは抵抗加熱エレメントを含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 抵抗加熱エレメントはステンレススチールを含むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 加熱エレメントの電気的特性は、加熱エレメントに関連する電気抵抗、加熱エレメントに関連する電気伝導度、加熱エレメントに関連する電流引き込み、加熱エレメントに関連する電力引き込み、加熱エレメントに関連する電圧降下および加熱エレメントに電気的に結合された別の抵抗性部材に関連する電圧降下を含む群から選択される1つ以上の特性に基づいていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は電気的特性の測定から加熱エレメントの温度の表示を決定することを特徴とする請求項1乃至6いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 障害状態は加熱エレメントの少なくとも一部の突然の温度上昇に関連することを特徴とする請求項1乃至7いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 障害状態は加熱エレメントの少なくとも一部に起こる無炎燃焼に関連することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標を予め定義された閾値と比較することによって電子エアロゾル供給装置に障害状態が生じているか否かを定めるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標の大きさが予め定義された閾値を超えている場合に障害状態が生じていると判断するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項10記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は加熱エレメントの温度が一時的に安定していると考えられる間に時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標を定めるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路はエアロゾルを加熱エレメントによって発生させている間に時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標を定めるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は電力が加熱エレメントに供給されている間に時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標を定めるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至13いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は障害状態が生じたと判断されると加熱エレメントへの電力の供給を減少させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至14いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は障害状態が生じたと判断されると加熱エレメントへの電力の供給を停止するようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項15記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 制御回路は障害状態が生じたと判断されると警告インジケーターを作動させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至16いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 液体源はニコチンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至17いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 液体源の容器と加熱してエアロゾルを発生させる加熱エレメントの近傍に液体源の一部を移送するように配置された液体移送部材とをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至18いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- バッテリーまたは電池の形体の電源をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至19いずれか1項記載の電子エアロゾル供給装置。
- 液体源からエアロゾルを発生させるための加熱エレメントと給電部から加熱エレメントへの電力の供給を制御するための制御回路とを含む電子エアロゾル供給装置の操作方法であって、この方法は、
この制御回路はさらに時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標を定めることと、
電子エアロゾル供給装置の障害状態が生じているか否かを定められた時間に対する加熱エレメントの電気的特性の微分係数の指標に基づいて判断することとを含む方法。
